Free Community Workshop to Benefit Orphans in Tanzania

Description: The local nonprofit organization NewDay Africa and Northwest Art Center in Duvall invite you to create a very special and unique Keepsake Box for an orphaned child in Tanzania, East Africa. In this free community workshop, participants of all ages will be matched with a child living in the care of NewDay Home of Songea Orphanage. They will create for that child a treasured posession that will foster friendships and convey a sense of caring from our community to theirs, which has been devastated by HIV/AIDS and poverty. Please register in advance as the number of participants is limited, by calling The Northwest Art Center at 425-788-5900. Any donations received by NewDay Africa will directly support the children of NewDay Home of Songea.
