What do you think about the candidates and more?

Break from the past
I will caucas for Obama
02/06/2008 4:53PM
Too Bad...
It is criminal that the corporate media elites decided for us who we were going to hear from and that in turn limited who we can vote for. Edwards and (most of all) Kucinich got the shaft but WE got shafted the worse!
02/06/2008 4:55PM
Another Kerry fiasco
I am telling you, if we go with Obama it is going to be a disaster just like 2004 with Kerry. The Right wing juggernaut will devour Obama. Hillary can tackle anything they can throw at her.

Hilarary can win red but not blue
Hillary is a risk in the general election. She can win among democrats, but what does that do for us? Nothing. Obama proved that he can turn red into purple. Look at the state voting Tuesday. Look at who voted for him, young voters who were inspired by him(not inspired by Hillary). He also got the independent vote and middle of the road red folks. The writing is on the wall Dems. Obama now has proven he can win in the red part of the country. Hillary has only showed that Dems will vote for her. One more thing, Hillary will inspire the Clinton haters to COME TO THE POLLS. Come on Hillary supporters, I like her too, but look at the election road facts and turn to Obama.

Undecided & Overwhelmed
I dont' really care for the Clinton machine, but I wonder about the specifics of Obama's Movement of Hope. I guess I am jaded but I need more specifics. Why does he support nuclear power? I feel the pressure of this vote and am not settled on either one.
02/06/2008 6:49PM
shame on the media
As a previous post stated, WE got the shaft when the media decided they would HIDE Kucinich from the public - Chickens! Im still wearing my Strength through Peace sweatshirt and will wear it in 4 years when Kucinich can run again - or better yet be chosen as a VP candidate wit Barack. That would be heart and no nonsense in the white house.

It's Hillary's Time
I have been behind Hillary since Bill won his first presidential nomination. She's the leader on national health care. When she did not first succeed in '93, she rolled up her sleeves again and worked for health insurance for children, thus was born the Washington Basic Health Plan. Because of Hillary's persistence, my best friend's child with leukemia got timely, high quality health care and got a stem cell transplant at Children's. He is a healthy, happy 23 year old today. That's a real result and we can look forward to more of the same from her!!

The Race
We can be thankful we have such problems! Two great candidates for the Democratic party!! I was a supporter of Edwards so have to change to Obama or Clinton for the primary. There are pros and cons for both. We all want a Democrat in the White House in 2009 so let's do it!
02/06/2008 9:43PM
my1vote
I am giving my 1 vote to the only one who stands for what we need in this scountry and am NOT buying into the scam that has been perpetrated on us by the media and the democratic party. When they blocked Kucinich from debating everyone should have stood up and screamed...and they didn't...As Kucinich's campaign said after that -"Corporate control of the media is one issue - corporate media control of the information the American public can hear is something much more sinister,,,,Listen up folks - we're in big trouble here!! I can't vote in this poll either because they only have candidates that I cannot support. Kucinich and uncommitted need to be options, or at least " none of the above".

Re: Barack in Washington
Barack's website says he'll be at Key Arena in Seattle on Friday, Feb. 8. Visit his website, www.barackobama.com and scroll to the "Obama Events" section for info. Go Obama!

Hope and Change
They don't begin with Kennedy and Kerry! If true change is the message then be the change you wish to see...oterwise see the light and vote for Hillary!!
02/06/2008 9:49PM
re: my1vote
I agree with you about it being a shame that Kucinich being blocked from the NBC debate, but he DROPPED OUT OF THE RACE quite a while ago so I'm not sure why you think he should be one of our options in the KPTK poll or the caucus. (???)

re: my1vote
meant to say "that Kucinich WAS blocked..."

Caucus for Kucinich
Dennis is out of the race, but we can caucus for his platform -- caucus rules allow it. And delegates for Kucinich can negotiate at the NAtional Caucus to guide the front runners to more effective stances on the issues.
02/07/2008 6:31AM
another for Kucinich
I'm so glad to hear that we can speak up for Kucinich's platform. At least that's something. I'll caucus for Obama, I feel a guilty not supporting Hillary but I want to be in the future.
02/07/2008 7:26AM
Change will come..........
.........whoever we nominate, but I feel that Clinton is by far the more qualified of the two, and after the debacle of the last 8 years under a not-so-qualified president we, I believe, need a president that is a determined, pragmatic person that HAS been involved for as long as Hillary Clinton has. She's seen it all up close and personal - nothing will take her by surprise. She is ready to lead. I am not anti-Obama, but pro-Hillary Clinton.
02/07/2008 8:21AM
Obama Man
I'm for Obama however I don't support his stand against National Health Insurance and his non-stance on foreign trade issues.

Gay Meet Up For Hillary
At Purr, Friday 4 to 8.
02/07/2008 12:59PM
Least Corporate Candidate
Bottom line, Obama is the most likely current candidate to begin breaking the corporate hold on DC that must occur in order for OUR congress to start working for US. It has to start now!
02/07/2008 3:36PM
Caucus for Edwards
Like many, I'm undecided between Clinton and Obama, and particularly disappointed in the anti-Clinton rhetoric from some of the progressive commentators, as well as the MSM. However, I will be, and encourage others, to caucus for John Edwards. Because he has just suspended his campaign and not withdrawn, he is still in control of his delegates. I firmly believe that it is possible for him to broker even more progressive positions on Iraq and healthcare from the two front runners. They and the DNC have been far too conservative in their positions on these two matters, and we need to build strength on the Democratic platform.

Obama @ Key Center
It was reported this morning that the Obama appearance will be 11:00 Friday at the Key Center
02/07/2008 4:33PM
Slime Machine
The machine is already in operation and Senator Clinton will take a gun to the up coming knife fight and I don't want to get even I want revenge for the way the Neo-Cons have treated my children and Grand Children and Great Grand Children
02/08/2008 9:05AM
Dem Caucus
Democrats in Washington State choose their delegates in the caucus. The primary means nothing for us. It's a beauty contest. the Republicans do use the results of the primary to pick a percentage of their delegates, hence we have the confusion and expense of the primary. If you want your vote to count, go to the caucus!!!!
02/08/2008 10:50AM
Edwards
Edwards was the best choice in 2004 and 2008. Unfortunately he was squeezed out by the media. Nobody could hear his message. I will caucus for Hillary but would have preferred Edwards.
02/08/2008 11:19AM
Restore Democracy
It really doesn't matter which candidate you vote for tomorrow. The most important issue is the restoration of our democracy. What you do after the election is more important. We must demand that our Representatives end this war, restore our civil rights, jail the criminals in the Bush regime, restore fiscal responsibility in washington, and bring back the american dream of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Oh, How about giving peace a chance.
