Frank from Tacoma
I listen to Randi Rhodes every day, I listen to Steph every morning, time permitting, I listen to Tom Hartman most days and I also listen to Ed Schultz as I can tolerate. What do I do to promote progressive talk radio? I have hosted a local weekly talk radio show since 1999. It's called Equal Time broadcasted from KLAY 1180 AM on Fridays from noon to 1:00 PM. It's the only liberal talk radio show radio show in Pierce County. Our blog is located at equaltimeradio.org where we archive our shows. If I have one concern about 1090, it is a lack of local programming. There are a multitude of local right wing hosts who address local issues and candidates. It would be nice to have some local talent to counter the "dino dummies". Just a suggestion, I'm not fishing for work, just making a suggestion. Thanks for all you do, Frank |
Nancy from Kirkland
I love am 1090 and listen every weekday and I patronize your sponsors! |
Timothy from Kirkland
I start listening to Stephanie Miller at 7:45 am and end with Randi Rhodes about 5:45 pm. Two hours indeed. Give me a challenge, like two minutes of the The Truth - Not!
|
Robert from Des Moines
I think you people are great. My ears are plugged into the radio every day. Keep up the good work. "Ed,Randi,et all." bob, sr. age 84 vet ww2 and korea and a DEMOCRAT |
Jim from Bremerton
making this pledge is easy! i listen my wife estimates 12 hours a day. we're up at 4am listening to the young turks followed by stephenie miller while getting the kids off to school. then i'm off to the office with thom hartman and being in real estate i'm listening all the time in my car till i go to bed with mike malloy! LOL! being in real estate i have been able to convert those couple people listening to npr to 1090. being in real estate which is naturally conservative i have given those in my office a differnt point of view other than the brain washed right winged radio they became used too. not to mention clients t hat are amazed at the context of the station! kudos to you! |
Morgen from Everett
I start listening partway through The Young Turks and I don't turn the radio off until after Mike Malloy...I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't listen to progressive radio...thanks for being one of the first stations to put Mike back on... |
Kirk from Bainbridge Island
I've been listening to AM1090 ever since it made the switch to the progressive format - in, what, 2004? Religiously! I work as a mailman and listen on my headphones whilst sorting the mail for my route and then on the radio in my truck whilst delivering it. So it's Stephanie ( although I still miss Morning Sedition!) and Thom in the office, Big Eddie out on the route, Rachel for the drive home. I really like Mike Malloy as well, and Randi is just the best. It's ALL good, you guys. Thank you for being there, and here's hoping you can get a stronger signal someday! |
Graham from Bremerton
I pledge to support AM 1090 by listening usually through out the day, from Stephani Miller in the morning to Mike Milloy at night. Sometimes when I can't get reception I pod cast the Young Turks or listen on line. I pledge to support the advertisers, if there is a product that I need I will go to the Advertisers first. Whether it is Organic wine, Pioneer organic vegetables, the Best Paint, a Rad Plumber or many other products and services if I need it I go to An Advertiser first. Why do I Pledge? because AM 1090 is special it provides news and information you can't get anywhere else. AM 1090 has allowed me to stop watching TV. Thank you AM 1090, you have become a large part of my life. |
Alina from Bremerton
I Pledge to listen to Stephani Miller on the way to work. Rachel Maddow and the first hour of Randi Rhodes on my way home, and I try to listen to Seder on Sundays. |
Cheryl from San Clemente, CA
Wow, this is am ominous sign! I stream your station online from So. Calif. and our San Diego station had a similar drive last month. Now we are in jeopardy of our station, KLSD 1360, being flipped to sports talk! We had a pledge drive, rallies, you name it. If it happens, it will be on Sept. 8. Please don't let this happen to 1090! While visiting Port Townsend last summer, I was flipping the radio dial and caught Rush on no less than four stations! Your station is a bright light of reason - please keep it around. I will continue to stream and listen when I'm in town! |
Kathleen from Bellingham
I pledge to listen to AM1090 daily for at least 2 hours. I also pledge to support the sponsors and will patronize AM1090 advertisers first, if possible. I wish more advertisers from the Bellingham area would consider advertising on this station. There are a lot of us up here who listen.
|
Kate from Seattle
Pledging won't be a problem, I listen for eight hours or more Monday through Friday, and at least three to four hours a day on the weekends, just need to get to the site. |
Rich from Long Island, NY
I'm very pleased to have discovered AM1090's excellent stream online. I have your stream running in my office for much of the day, starting with Stephanie Miller at about 9:30 ET and then all of Thom Hartman. I admit that after Hartmann, I put on the podcast of the previous night's Mike Malloy show but I CAN PLEDGE A MINIMUM OF 5 HOURS OF MY WEEKDAY TO AM1090. This will mean nothing to your local advertisers but I'll know where to shop for a car should I move to Seattle. Thanks for the great stream! |
| Rich from Long Island, NY |
Michaelene from Shoreline
I pledge to listen to am 1090 every time I listen to my radio.

We have AM1090 on continuously from 9AM Thom Hartman through 10PM Mike Malloy. We pledge to keep telling people we know or meet through social gatherings to listen to AM1090. We are more educated on political issues and the history of our great nation than we ever have been in the past. The hosts of these programs inform us and direct us to web sites, books, and articles to read and form our own opinions. AM1090 also provides for community involvement, and we love the web site. Thanks AM1090 Katie & Steve |

I listen to Thom Hartmann 3 hours every day. Just for starters. I probably listen to at least six hours every day. Weekends I love Rob't Kennedy and that other guy (Pappantonio) I can't spell it. Also several other shows. My radio is tuned to 1090 and almost never changed. |
Wayne from Renton
My radio is always turned on to AM 1090 and will continue to be so. Its the only station in the area that presents alternative viewpoints and information that is never broadcast in the "liberal(?)" media. Whenever it comes up and sometimeswhen it does not I always mention AM 1090 as a source for some of my information. |
Steve from Woodinville
I listen ALL the time, whenever I have access to a radio or can stream via the net. |
Steve from Woodinville

Dusty from Bainbridge
I've been listening to 1090 for about 3 yrs. If you wanted to calculate the time I've listened and divide it into two hour segments so you could give me a retroactive pledge credit, I would be covered out to about 2012. Without you, what would I do for the information that is so critical to being an informed citizen. It is not available through other media outlets. Thank you.
|
Joe from Seattle
I will listen to kptk begining every morning at 5am through noon and 3 to 8pm M-F untill the UW goes back to school, then it's 4-530 am and the 3-8pm slots cause I'm busy feeding the Dawgs. I'll grab weekend hours when my dad and union duties allow. |
Sherri from Olympia
I listen to AM 1090 whenever I can. I try never to miss Thom Hartmann, but I listen to all your hosts and enjoy their differing points of view. I really hope you can get a stronger signal so we can hear you better in the evenings here in Olympia. I always ask people if they listen to your station and if not, I write down the AM numbers so they will try to find you on the radio. I hope you stay on the air! Come down to Olympia and I'll help you find some local sponsors! |
Jackie from Brier
I've been listening to AM1090 since it went on the air. I listen to it in the car and throughout the day at home. It's my link to reality! |

Bob and Lynn from Renton
Our whole family listens to AM1090 whenever we can, at least two hours per day. Enjoy listening to all the talk show hosts. They provide a good mix of styles and ideas. Glad to have talk radio with a Progressive message in Seattle, especially with the Presidential elections coming up soon. We consider AM1090 to be an excellent source of news and information that we are unable to receive anywhere else. We tell our friends and relatives about this radio station and support station advertisers. |

I pledge to listen to AM 1090 Seattle for another 2 hours a day (on top of the approximately 4 hours I spend already listening to your cool and progressive station because I appreciate being informed on the latest current and thought provoking political news. Ian from Bothell
Every day I make sure to wake up to Stephanie Miller. When I can, I do my best to catch some of Thom Hartmann and Ed Schultz, but my college courses make that hard to do. Regardless I listen to Rachel Maddow and some of Randi Rhodes as well, and I always tell my friends about the station, or at least help to spread the message. |
Frank from Bellingham
I've been listening for hours on end to AM 1090 for years and will continue to do so. There is simply no alternative to get the REAL news. Funny, yet informative, virtually any show digs into the real issues. |
Ellison from Seattle
We listen at least 2 hours a day in cars office and home. We shop at as many advertizers as possible. |
Dwayne from Yelm
Only 2 hours? I'd have to turn off the "internets" streaming at work because I get 2 hours of progressive sanity during my drive to work and back. |

Tammi from Woodinville
Thank goodness we have AM1090! While other stations insist on repeating the same hate talk radio we have been burried with for years, 1090 gives a sane progressive point of view. I love all of your hosts, but especially Stephanie, Big Eddie, and Rachel! Thanks! Tammi |
Jan from Bellingham
I already do listen 2 hours a day! Many times it is much more than that! Thank you! |
Tim from Burien

My wife and I have been loyal listeners from the day we first learned AM1090 was on air. We not only listen for two hours, but AM 1090 is a constant in our home. We especially love Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, The Young Turks, Seder on Sundays, and Jon Elliott. My wife even wears her headphones to bed at night thinking she won't miss a single moment. We LOVE, LOVE this station. Keep up the fine job. We pledge our continued support. |

Susan from Woodinville
I listen to 1090 all day long as much as I can. i turn the sound down on the mariner game in the evening and lsiten to the Tandy and mike. i learn so much from them. They keep me informed on politics, the environment, what books to read. Now if onlyI could only get my republcian parents to listen. They do have it on their car radio dial, so i know they listen sometimes, but probably wouldn't admit it! :) I got my sister in issaquah to listen and I will work on anyone else i talk to! |
Paul from Federal Way
As a truck driver, I listen to your station at least 6-10 hours, EVERYDAY! I can also tell you that your signal, almost reaches Chehalis. When I'm on my way to Portland, I switch to the Portland channel and back to you around Milemarker 88. I love your programs, Thoms my hero!!!! |

Keo from Seattle
I pledge to continue to listen to AM 1090 at every possible opportunity which some days is for several hours. I listen to AM 1090 all the time and only change stations when I am out of range. Since I can only listen while going from one job site to another I guess that I have you guys on easily three hours a day. |
Allen from Snohomish
I will continue to display my AM1090 bumpersticker on my truck as well as listening to 1090 via the internet as I work. I mention to others often about the great host line up. You won't find a more informed group of talk show hosts than on AM1090. Keep up the great work. |
Judy from Issaquah
I pledge that my husband and I will continue to listen at least to Thom Hartmann for 2-3 hours whenever possible and also to your other hosts when we can. We will continue to enthusiastically sell your station and programming to our family and friends, to support your sponsors (especially the local ones) whenever possible, and to attend your events (like the recent forum in Seattle moderated by Thom) whenever we can. We are very grateful to you, especially for bringing Thom Hartmann to us. We live in a condo and can't hear you in the evening -- wish your signal were stronger. |
Michael from Seattle
I was hooked the day AM1090 adopted the Air America format. I was journalism major with a political science minor and I listen an average of six hours per day while commuting, all day in the office and while traveling. I have two 1090 window stickers on my vehicle. Stephanie Miller starts my day with much needed laughter. Thom Hartmann adds ridges to my brain. Ed Schultz gives me a dose of real life in Middle America. Rachel Maddow is one of the most educated and gifted people on radio and provides a news show better than any other. Randy Rhodes informs, entertains and inspires me to reject the status quo and dig deeper. Mike Malloy removes any remaining cobwebs from my mind and instructs my soul to wake up and take action and to fight for true freedom and a better Republic. I love Ring of Fire on the weekends. Washington State is a much better place because 1090 is here to offer a different and fresh view. 1090 supports all of the community and the issues I really care about much better than any other radio station. 1090 is a treasure and you and your advertisors will always have my complete support and loyalty! |
Phil from Blaine
We do listen everyday, and night,Too!
|
Will from Eastsound
I got some bumper stickers of 1090 am. I put them on all my cars and gave away the rest. Everywhere I go I tell people about this great radio channel. Freedom of the air ways is very important to the freedom of this country. |
Vanessa from West Seattle
4 reasons I listen to AM 1090: 1. REAL news 2. Real American History (past and present)thanks to Thom Hartman. I can't believe what they never taught us... 3. Humor!!! Without Stephanie Miller I would cry all the time about what is happening. 4.Randi Rhodes is FABULOUS. She is so smart. I wake up with 1090, and go to sleep with 1090. Thanks for being there. |
Gary from Kent
I listen 8 or 9 hours a day wish there was some local or at least live news but I am thrilled with what we have and yes I do patronize when I can. gary |
Teresa from Port Orchard
It is an honor and a joy to pledge that I will listen to AM 1090 for sure during the weekdays and some weekends. I've been listening to you for years! I'm not telling who my favorites are but you all are very wonderful. I don't know what we'd do without you! God bless you all ever so much. |
Paula from Portland, OR
Your station is awesome, I stream it almost everyday, especially enjoyed the perfect presidents....Love Mike Malloy and Steph! Keep it up, keep it lit! Paula from Portland |
Richelle from Seattle
I will continue listening to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann and Ed Schultz as I have since they came on 1090. Thank you for providing a place where we can laugh, listen to intelligent conversation and get fired up about progressive issues. |
JoAnn from Bellingham
I will continiue to listen to Thom Hartmann every day for three hours. He's the best! Will also catch bits and pieces of other shows, but will take Hartmann with me even when running errands and sitting in waiting rooms for one reason or another. |
Darlene from Bremerton
A two hour pledge is easy for this AM1090 addict. I listen on my portable radio when working in the yard and doing other tasks around the house. Since I am retired and home most of the time, two hours a day to listen is easy. I really enjoy the lineup you have now. Please keep Mike Malloy even tho he is not on AirAmerica. I enjoy his witticisms. I've already told many people about AM1090, but will tell more as the subject comes up or get another email address. |
Jon from Bellingham
I listen every day to Stephanie Miller, Thomm Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Rachal Maddow and Randi Rhodes. Saturdays I listen to Ring of Fire. I work out of a patrol car so Im able listen all day 6:30am to 5:30 pm. I recommend 1090 all the time and will continue to do so. Get the facts! Stand for truth! Listen to 1090! |
John from Bremerton
I will listen to 1090 AM at least two hours a day. |
John from Seattle
Making a commitment to listen to AM1090 is easy because it has been my lifeline for several years now. During the week I listen around the clock, either online or by radio to get my favorite personality, but weekends are interrupted by activities and relatives. To the best of my financial capability, I will also pledge to continue patronizing KTPK sponsors, everything from setting up a corporation, to buying a computer, wine, food, and hardware, etc. <p><br>If Bush weren't at war with the middle class I'd be pledging much more support. <p><br>Go Progressive Talk Radio KTPK! Can I vote to get Sam Seder during the week again?? |
Thomas from Tacoma
First, bless you, am1090, for continuing to provide this valuable public service. I, Thomas R. Anderson, being of progressive mind and 62-year old aging body, do hereby pledge to listen to am1090 at least 2 hours a day (easy, since I usually listen all day and into the night), and to keep telling people about Air America and Nova M radio. Please remain keeping me somewhat sane in the brain in the face of right-wing rain and pain. |
Anthony from Malmo, Sweden
A possible format switch for AM1090 would only gain right-wing terrorists like Michael Hitler-Savage - and I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT. |
Carla from Port Orchard
I listen from Thom Hartman in the morning to Randi Rhodes in the afternoon every day. I have already told everybody I know about am 1090 |
Malena from Seattle
Go AM1090! |
Gerry from Bellevue
I will continue to listen to 1090 between 4 am and noon and in the afternoon to rachel and while i am driving. |
Leslie and Everett
I almost never listened to radio until Air America went live. Now the radio (AM 1090 exclusively) plays a huge part in my life. I listen to KPTK in my car, at home, and at work when possible. I'm not sure how I would survive without it now.
|
Tony from Tacoma
I pledge up to 6 hours a day or more of mind nourishing KPTK 1090 progressive talk. I pledge to tactfully inform narrow minded souls who are being fed the corporate media spin. Thank you KPTK for letting me know there are other people who believe asI do. I am no longer the lone voice of opposition. |
Aileen from Sumner
I pledge to listen to KPTK radio 1090 AM at LEAST two hours every day, Monday through Friday |
Weehawk from Renton
I pledge NEVER to listen to that horrible P.S.A. with "George W. Bush" talking. Why can't we replace it with one that has John Edwards asking us to volunteer? |
Wendy from Woodinville
I already have your bumper stickers on my cars and give Thom Hartman books to relatives and talk about his common sense ideas to everyone who will listen even joining a book group to discuss Screwed. I listen to Thom every morning that I am not at work, going so far as to avoid any appointments until after noon on my days off and sometimes listen online if a client should not come. I also try hard to listen to Rachael afternoons on my drive home for at least an hour. |
Elizabeth from Seattle
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 every day, a minimum of 2 hours. I usually listen more than 2 hours, and I like all the hosts. Each has something special to offer. I also love Ring of Fire. |
Don from Gig Harbor
I pledge to listen to AM1090 every day (if possible) for 2 hours, and will support the station's advertisers whenever possible. |
Ronda from Bothell
I pledge to listen to AM1090 at least five hours per day and to tell my friends to listen, too! Thanks for being here. |
Jack from Tacoma
I listen as many hours as I can each day. I only wish Tom Hartman did not overlap my work hours. I try to support your sponsors locally and tell friends and family about 1090. |
karen from Seattle
I love AM 1090 and don't know what I would do without your radio station! We need everyone to listen and to, as Stephanie Miller's show promo announces, "Take Back America!" I have a long commute to work each day and have AM 1090 on every time I drive in my car. My favorites are Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Randi Rhodes, and Mike Malloy! I pledge to listen to AM 1090 at least two hours a day Monday - Friday, and to tell as many people as I can to listen. My brother's company actually has an advertisement on AM 1090 - for Thundering Hooves, and my Mom is an avid listener, as well. Thank you - and keep up the great work!!! |
John and Barb from Freeland
1090 is the only radio station we listen to. No cable, no TV. We are big fans of Mike Malloy and Air America. Please keep getting the message out there. We'll keep listening as long as you do. |
Jody from Seattle
I have been puttng off making my pledge because I wanted it polished and perfect, but then I realized that just maybe you were soliciting pledges of support because there was a threat to take our progressive talk radio off the air and you wanted to show the powers that be just how vital you are to this community. HORRORS!!!!! This station has rescued me form every form of idiocy on the airwaves. Without trashing the local public radio, sports, music and other talk stations, (they do a good enough job of that themselves), KPTK has saved me from insipidness, repetition, and bigottry and brought me into a world of intelligent, sincere, h umorous, passionate and diverse programming. Honestly, I couldn't get through my day without it. My future challenge--I am moving from a window office to an inside cubicle. Reception is bad enough as is, but so worth it. What am I going to do when I can't listen at all? (No streaming audio for us; not even any radio without headphones.) I work for a non-profit, so I probably can't even afford cable radio. What is a girl to do? Well, when I had a visitor from SW Missouri, she got so turned on to this format that she listens as often as possible. I spread you around! |
Karen from Bainbridge Island
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 at least 2 hours a day. Sometimes it's tough with my republican husband around, but hey, I'll take the heat. I love all of the shows. Stephanie Miller is a great way to start the day. Thom Hartmann should be required listening. Ed Shultz is our bridge to the moderates and thinking republicans. Rachel Maddow is brilliant and I love to watch her on Countdown with Keith Olberman. Randi Rodes inspires me. Mike Malloy scares me sometimes, but we need outspokened, outraged voices so we are heard. Thank you so much! |
Jane from Bothell
My sister and I often discuss the reprehensible workings of the current administration and the 'Repos', (re: Republicans), who empower this debaucle. I am encouraged by Progressive Talk Radio's efforts to state the views of the Left, i.e. responsible people, that has been overshadowed by the conservative right, (no, I will not capitalize their title), for far too long. Thank you so much and keep up the good work! |
Jaime from Redmond
I'll keep listening, you just stay on the air!! |
Marc from Bellingham
Finally some good talk radio, I listen everyday! |
Indra from Progreso, Yucatan Mexicao
I was a dedicated listener until moving to Mexico earlier this year, but now that I've figured out the technicalities, I am again listening as much as my computer will allow. |
Colleen from Kirkland
This is an easy pledge, since I've already been listening more than 2 hours every day. I hope everyone supports KPTK AM 1090. It is pretty easy - I shop at the advertisers' stores and let them know how I heard about them on KPTK. I tell my friends about KPTK and brought someone new with me to the Perfect Presidents / Perfect Politicians Town Meeting. I told my Congressman I was happy to hear him on KPTK. Out of appreciation and perhaps a bit of addiction, I pledge to continue being a good listener and to continue supporting KPTK. |
Todd from Seattle
I pledge to continue my listening habits on am 1090 - from Stephanie Miller all the way through the day to Rachel Maddow. You guys are fabulous! |
Brent from Bellevue
I pledge to faithfully listen to all am1090 programming at every opportunity. I work nights an electrical supervisor on a section of the light rail project. I am an active union member of local 46 ibew seattle and listen at least 6 hours a day. As a union member I recognize that i represent the last front on the war against corporate greed. I pledge to introduce like minded individuals to your programming, and will support your sponsors to the best of my ability. If the opportunity arises I pledge my support in community activism associated with the intersts of am1090 and its hosts. Thank you for bringing progressive talk radio to se attle. Brent G. Otterson 01-20-09 only 481 days left until we get America back!!! |
Milo from Seattle
It's easy to listen to 18-20 hours a week of great programming on KTPK! But I also pledge to use am1090 advertisers whenever possible when I need goods or services. I've had a fantastic experience with a local business that advertised on this station, and am looking forward to working with other small businesses who advertise with progressive radio. |
Paula from portland, OR
I am still listening every day! Great job am1090! |
Marcy from Seattle
I've been listening pretty much since the beginning and generally listen for 2-4 hours a day. I also have been patronizing some of your advertisers and will continue to do so whenever possible. |

This is my pledge; Enclosed are some cards that I made on my computer. Anytime I see a bumper sticker that indicates a democrat is driving a car, I place one of these on their windshield or if I see the driver I hand it to them. A few years ago my sister in Portland told me about Air America, and I listened to it online. I made these cards up the day Seattle got it's own affiliate. I also hand these out at peace rallys and whenever I can fit it into the conversation. I pass these out, I'm sure I've gone through a hundred or so. I listen to Steph, then Tom, then I go online to hear Randi and Mike Malloy live. Thank you for being there. Doreen. |
Kathy from Ferndale
I pledge to continue listening to your station. I listen everyday to Thom, Ed, Rachel and sometimes to Randi. I put a 1090 bumper sticker on my car and mention the station to as many people as will listen. |
Babs from Bellevue
I will not rest until Bellevue turns blue. |

Love you guys. Thanks for turning me on to Tom, Ed, and Rachel. Thanks for the education. Six friends have been told to listen and I will continue to keep after them with whatever means I can. Trying to take back the middle class one day at a time. Bryan |
Therese from Hansville
Since I found 1090 over two years ago I've been a fan. 1090 is the best thing that's happened to Seattle Talk Radio! Thank you for keeping the conversation growing! Proud to Pledge! Therese |

I pledge to listen to at least 2 (I currently listen to more like 6-10 hours per day/night(in the background as I perform tasks, in the car, and on-line, while answering e-mails). I make it a point to REALLY LISTEN TO as much of Thom Hartmann's show as possible each day. His grasp of our political system and history; his willingness to include guests with many points of view, which he/we can then question and/or expand on; and his incredible energy and commitment to "educating" listeners about this country and our political roots, rights, and responsibilities are amazing and crucial for those who wish to do something, rather than just complain. I proudly display my AM1090 bumper sticker on my car, and have also taken bumper stickers to Democratic district meetings, and encouraged folks to do the same. I bought tickets and persuaded a friend to accompany me to the "Perfect Presidents or Perfect Politicians" Town Hall Forum (which was fantastic, by the way). I have introduced AM1090 to friends and relatives, and encouraged everyone I meet, whom I think might even consider listening, to check it out. I frequently call-in or e-mail my favorite shows on AM1090. I find your Community Matters information very valuable, and check the page often for events/information I'd like to know more about. I'm a member of Precinct 1090, and often check out the books and contests which are made known to me via the e-mails from Holiday Frank, etc. I'm truly grateful that we have a radio station in Seattle which is committed to airing programs and issues which promote the Progressive cause! Thanks AM-1090! I'll keep doing my part, if you keep offering the progressive programming and community participation opportunities awareness.

Matt and Norma from Maltby
All our radios have AM1090 set as the number 1 setting. Norma sleeps with her headphones on tuned to KPTK. We wake every day to the Young Turks, and listen to Stephanie Miller (our favorite) every Monday through Friday. Matt catches as much of Stephanie as he can before arriving at work. On our off days, we are able to catch Thom Hartman and Ed Shultz, and on special days we are gifted to hear Rachel Maddow (who we refer to as Aunt Rachel). On the drive home, we will USUALLY listen to Randi (Ranty) Rhodes, unless she starts to shout down her callers or gets on one of her more strident rolls. I have to admit, I replaced NPR with AM1090 as my number 1 station, but Randi is the best NPR and you have going some days. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing back Mike Malloy. We have AM1090 bumper stickers on our cars. We have a VOTE AM1090 yard sign in front of the house. We go out of our way to support AM1090 advertisers, especially Sebo Hardware in Anacortes (who have the best commercials on the air), the Asteroid Cafe (who we've bought web specials for), and Not a Number Gifts. Keep up the good work. |
Lissa from Seattle
I pledge to continue to listen to AM1090 every minute I am in my car! That means Stephanie Miller and/or Thom Hartman in the morning (depending on how early I get up), Ed Schultz when I leave my office during the work day, Rachel Maddow and/or RandiRhodes when I'm on my way home, and on those extra-late work nights -- Mike Malloy! Lissa |
Michael from Edmonds
I've been listening to AM1090 on a daily basis ever since it took on Air America, and will continue to do so. Where I live the signal often gets weak at night, but the online broadcast now more than makes up for that. I especially appreciate how theprogressive talk format has evolved and improved in just a few years, as AM1090 provides an increasingly mature, provocative, and entertaining source of vital informaton. |
Andy from Orting
I will continue to listen 10-14 hours a week to am1090. I enjoy the progressive format and have suggested the station to my friends. |
Jim from Fife
I will listen whenever I am in my vehicle as well as at home when possible. Keep up the good works. Also, since there are many issues in the greater Puget Sound area, I would like to hear more regarding the loss of one of the best areas in the world to farm - the Puyallup Valley. We are losing all possibility of raising our own food stuffs rather than importing them and supporting multinational corporations, to our detriment. Support local agriculture with our dollars and by pressing for legislation giving tax relief to active farmers. We can save wild Salmon because of the obvious benefits of doing so; why can't we save our irrepl aceable farmlands as well? |
David from Seattle
I am so grateful to have so many voices of reason in these crazy and dangerous times in our world. Why don't people get it???? Love the station, it is always tuned in my car on my way to and from work and streaming on the internet while I am at work. I love Stephanie Miller. Have been a fan of hers since she was Sister Sleaze in Rochester 20 years ago!!
|
Alison from Burien
I already made a pledge once but cant find it in the list of pledges so I am making another one I listen as many hours a day as I can and on weekends I tell other people about ktpk and I hope this station is around forever!!! |
R from New Jersey
I listen on line often. You have a great radio station. Perhaps, we will get one here in New Jersey one day.

Donna from Langley
Dear AM 1090 and all Progressive radio talk show hosts, reporters, journalists, station owners, and sponsors: Not only do I pledge to spend at least two hours every day listening to AM1090 and encouraging everyone I know to do the same, but I further pledge to support [whenever possible and practical] the advertisers and sponsors of AM1090 as well as those brave and courageous radio hosts and journalists that insist on speaking "truth to power," refusing to shrivel up and go away like the conservative, right-wing broadcasters and politicians hope they will do some day. Thank you for being in Seattle! |
Mary from Seattle
I pledge to proudly display my AM 1090 bumper sticker in a prominate place on my car - with my BartCop.com sticker; to at least listen to Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy each day, and Thom Hartmann on Fridays when I don't have to work. I will also talk to other people about the benefits of listening to AM 1090. Keep up the great work! I'm addicted to your station and am so grateful to you for keeping me informed. If anything's going to turn this ship of state away from the iceberg of facsim, it's going to be radio stations like AM 1090 and the Internet ("It's not trucks, it's a series of tubes." Explanation courtesy of Sen. Ted Stevens-Alaska-R). |
nancy from Port Ludlow
I listen everday in my car and at home too! And will continue to do so. It lets me know i'm not polically alone. Thanks. |
Jay from Seattle
I pledge to listen to Stepanie Millar on my way to work, Tom Hartman, Ed Shultz & Rachel Maddow at work and Randi Rhodes on my way home from work Monday through Friday, Democracy Now and Ring of Fire and the Young Turks on the weekend. That is for an average of 25 hours a week. I try to buy from sponsors of AM 1090 whenever I can.
|
Christine from Edmonds
I have listened to AM1090 since the day it went on the air, in the car, office and my house. Steph, Thom, Ed and Randi are my peeps! I am extremely happy to have the chance to listen to progressive voices and feel like I am not alone. I have some Republican friends who think the only shirt I own is my AM1090 T-shirt. My car proudly displays the bumper sticker and I always give the thumbs up to other proud listeners. I support the advertisers (Yum! to Camano Island Coffee)and tell all my friends they should listen to know what is really going on in our country. Thanks for the excellent job you are doing. |
T-Bone from Portland, OR
We pledge that everytime we are in the Seattle area (or otherwise listening online), we will be tuning into your AA line up. BTW, Mike "Have I mentioned how much I hate these people?" Malloy rocks! I love AM1090. It's the only radio station I listen too. My favorites are Big Eddie from noon-three and Randi Rhoades (sp?) in the evenings. I've ordered bumper stickers and plan to show them proudly. Keep up the good fight!!! |
Mark from Brier
I will listen for more than 5 hrs a day to you.... |
Shawn from Seattle
AM1090 is such a welcome relief from the "right" side! I listen daily and will continue to do so. I will also shop at the advertisers on AM1090 to show that yes, there really is an audience out there for this. Thank you.
|
Marie from Tacoma
I pledge to continue listening to AM 1090 at least two hours daily (my commute)and longer on my days off. I pledge to continue mentioning the station to the rare progressive customer that comes into the bookstore in which I work (the store is in a conservative, right-wing Christian dominated area). Sometimes, AM 1090 is the only bright spot of sanity in a very long day of frustration. Thanks. |
Peyton from Albany
I pledge to listen to AM1090 when I am in WA and lower British Columbia. (When in Oregon I feel obligated to listen to AM 620 PDX.) When connections are available I'll listen over the internet to Stephanie Miller from 0600-0900, and Mike Malloy in the evening. Please keep up the good work; I spend a fair amount of time in WA and rely on AM1090 to get me real news, and I look up your sponsors and give them my business when possible. Thanks again.
|
Tom from Seattle
I pledge to continue to patronize AM 1090 advertisers, I have made purchases from Small Dog Electronics, and not another Number cards and gifts, and the Astroid Cafe, and will continue to do so!!!! |
Jane from Kenmore
I pledge to listen to Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes, Rachel Maddow, and Mike Malloy for at least four hours a day. I've been a faithful listener since your first day on the air.
|
Peter from Govan Saskatchewan (Canada)
Well, I got to say that I listen via our satellite internet connectivity. We're out here in the prairies and we're surrounded by wheatfields. I work at home, and I'm intensely interested in the politics going on south of our line here in Canada, so I keep you guys on almost 24 hrs. a day. I even opt to listen over Coast2Coast AM with George Noory as Mike Malloy comes on during the same time, and I really enjoy his passion. We had a moose in our front yard just a few days ago, and I'd like to think he came to catch up on politics! So, I guess that's who I've turned on to the AM1090 Progressive Talk, and perhaps a few farmers have caught some of your programming to and from the fields. Sincerely, Pete PS - I was going to send a photo of the moose, so if you want to have me do so, e-mail me!

I work from home and listen daily! I love Ed,Stefanie,Randi...well the whole gang!! I tell everyone I know to listen! Some sanity in an insane world! Thanks soooo much!! |
Al from Sammamish
Long time listener, first time pledger. Totally enjoy ALL of the current shows being broadcast on 1090 for the real story behind the news. Stephanie, Thom, Big Ed, Rachel, Randi and Mike all have great shows. I love hearing 1090 blaring from my neighbor's work van as he arrives home in the evenings because it creates an echo effect with my radio. |
Chad from Seattle
I listen to AM1090 from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday online at work. |
Bill from Tacoma
I pledge to keep AM1090 tuned in at all times. I support liberal activities by writing my senators, congressman and the whitehouse weekly. I attend various ralleys around the puget sound and spread the word of AM1090. |
Linda from Seattle
I pledge to listen to 1090 every day for at least 4 hours. It's easy to pledge because I already do it! |
Kim from Shoreline
Make a pledge? I don't need to. I've been plugging AM1090 since I started listening to KPTK in January of 2004, and I'm a member of Precinct 1090. (And I've so far shaken the hands of Randi Rhodes, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz (twice) and Mike Malloy).I listen throughout the day at work and have a bumper sticker on my cubicle wall. I plugged it to my Republican sister-in-law earlier this month. AM1090 ROCKS! |
Steve from Kirkland
I have listened from the first week the station format went to progressive. Love the line-up, especially Ed, Stephanie and Rachel. It is great to have an alternative to the right wing panderers on the air. |
Brook from Seattle
I have been listening to am 1090 from its political beginning. I listen at least 3 hours a day and usually more. I love all of the hosts but adore Thom and Randi. You guys fill a very important role in this community. I constantly inform my friends about your station. I haven't gotten anyone to switch over permanently but they do attend your functions and we frequently enjoy the wonderful products of your sponsors. |
Karen from Olympia
Anytime I speak with someone who is ignorant, but curious, I pull out of my purse, my computer-printed, AM1090 slips and make them put it in their purse or wallet. After brief conversations in which I shed light on their confusion, they appear to beeager to listen. I love you truth seekers! |
C from Bellingham
I Listen 2 or more hours everyday. The radio in my work truck is always tuned to 1090 AM, My walkman radio I work to and from with is always on 1090AM. The house radio is on 1090AM and our car is tuned to 1090AM. I'm taling about the shows on 1090AMand 1090 AM all the time. I 'm sure I converted at least 10 people to 1090 AM. My wife listens my neighbor listens and my co workers listen. Go 1090!!! |
Shawn from Gig Harbor
I plege to listen to AM 1090 at least 6 hrs a day. I love the independent minds on this radio station. Its a breath of fresh air. Every single one of their hosts are brilliant I also like Sam Seder on Saturdays!
|
CM from Seattle
I have been for more than a year listening 24/6 days a week to 1090, and as an activist, every time i freewayblog, or protesting the vote for am1090 sign is in my hand. i wish you would make a better sing, instead of "vote for" you could say "wake up america, listen to am1090", or 'to save our democracy, get informed. "information is power, listen to am1090.Anything would be better. thanks i attended town Hall for Best president or best politician, so if i happen to win, please give the disc to someone else. |
Terry from Kenmore
AM 1090 is the only radio station I listen to. I support as many of the advertisers as I can. When we go out to dinner the only restaurants we consider are those that advertise on AM 1090, we buy cards and gifts from Not a Number, and household items from Goods for the Earth. If a company advertises on progressive radio and we need that product or service they have our business. |
Jon from White Center
I don't know what I'm suposed to write here, but I enjoy every single political program but Randi grates on me. |
Daniel from Kmitta
I listen everyday and will continue to do so. If the right wing idiots think they can silence us - well they got another thing coming. |
Bruce from Des Moines
For peace of mind and for good mental health I need to hear the truth. Therefore I listen to 1090AM daily for at least 2 hours. Keep up the wonderful effort! |
Michael from Tacoma
I pledge to listen to Stephanie Miller from 6 to 8 each morning and to tell all my co-workers that's why I arrive at work each morning with a smile on my face. Since turning off NPR in the morning, I start my day laughing my head off!
|
Greg from Bellevue
I pledge to help support AM1090 by continuing to support their advertisers, and to let them know that their advertisements on AM1090 work. We now have The Yard Artist (http://www.yardartistgardens.com/) doing a major landscaping job for us, and they're doing a fantastic job. My brother in law (a college soccer coach) was here recently for a tournament, and I had him take his team to the Portage Bay Cafe for several breakfasts and lunches, and mention that he heard their ads on AM1090. And after going to the Coho Cafe last week, I asked the server to thank the manager for supporting the station and doing the recent "Blue Chip D eal" promotion. I'll continue to watch for opportunities to support businesses that advertise on AM1090. |
Helen from Seattle
I pledge to listen to AM1090 at least 2 hours each day. |
Les from Federal Way
I offer my pledge of support to AM1090 because I feel that it is the ONLY radio station in the Puget Sound region that speaks TRUTH 2 POWER! This is the closest thing to a "Think Tank on radio" that you can get. I love this medium and listen to it on average 4 hours a day. |
Ronald from Redmond
I pledge that I listen to AM 1090 as my only radio station, other than sports events such as Seahawks or mariners, that occur on another station. Also, I always promote AM 1090 to my friends and relatives. You must stay on the air and viable!! Ed ismy favorite.
|
Carol from Bremerton
I already listen to am1090 every day, while working at home online (one hour goes to Olberman) and whenever I'm in my car. My favs are Randi, Thom, Ed, and Mike. I pledge to continue listening to am1090 more than two hours a day for many years to come, and to support your sponsors. I'm a military Mom and I tell everyone they should listen to am1090. If I had a sign I would display it proudly with the yellow ribbons on the front of my home. Thank you to all the hosts at am1090, you're true patriots!
|
Jennifer from Mill Creek
I've had a car radio preset for am1090 for quite a while, to listen to my Cougar football games whenever I'm down in Seattle and too far South to get am1380... Then I discovered AirAmerica was back. And an even happier discovery is that my non-radical husband loves listening! We listen to the 'girls' both to and from work (in Everett), although Mike Malloy is the hubby's absolute favorite. Not sure if we get in a full 2 hours everyday, but in a way it is good because we only listen to the radio in the car, and (being progressive, haha) we carpool the mere 8 miles we live from work. I wish I could say we supported more of your sponsors but they seem to mostly be in Seattle... Whenever we do get down to the 'big city' we'll be sure to keep a lookout for all the restaurants advertised on am1090. Meanwhile, would love to hear what blue businesses we've got up here in the sticks in Snohomish County. |
Peter from Kent
I listen at least two hours a day when I'm in town. Thom Hartman is a true gem among talk hosts. We need to keep his and other progressive voices on the air. Big bucks media can support conservative talk regardless of share or cume, progressive talkappears to have no such luxury. I tell everyone I know about AM 1090. |
Richard from Seattle
I listen on average to 3 shows a day (9 hours off and on) with extra car time when convenient. I always recommend 1090 as a good information source as it is all we have for progressive, enlightened, and honest discourse on any media on a regular 12 to 24 hour basis, or even 4 hour basis. The rest is spin and anti-middle class disinformastion. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the news which contradicts all your talk show hosts except Lionel. Pacifica or Democracy Now provides the best news. |
Nancy from Kirkland
We listen to 1090 all day and only revert to KGO in San Francisco when Mike Malloy goes off the air. We also are huge boosters for 1090AM. I'm involved in quite a few groups and they all know about Thom & Al & Rachel & Randi & Mike. I'm particularly thrilled that Schultz had Dennis Kucinich on air for three hours. It was absolutely marvelous. |
Jane from Fall City
I LOVE AM1090! I currently listen at least 11 hours a day and always support your sponsors when possible. I've even called sponsors and thanked them for advertising on AM1090 and let them know that I don't currently need their services, but I'll gladly recommend their services to others. |
Jackie from Mercer Island
I'm already with ya at least 2 hrs. a day. Start the day with Stephanie Miller & the mooks. Grab a earful of whatever I can at work with Tom Hartman. Usually spend a bit of my lunch with Ed Schults and work the afternoon & commute with Rachel Maddow & Randi Rhodes. Downloaded your Town Hall meeting and watched it as well...wasn't quick enough to get tickets before they sold out. Come back again!!! I support the advertisers whenever I can and am glad to see you're getting so much diversity in your advertising base. Keep getting the word out. We need it! |
Eric from Burien
I made my pledge in a 9.19 column written for the Highline Times, a community paper that covers Burien, Normandy Park, SeaTac, Des Moines and Tukwila. Here's part of the column: Columnists Rejuvenated liberal radio could counter fear factor By Eric Mathison Tuesday, September 18, 2007 A BIG reason intimidation has worked is the effective network of conservative think tanks, a cable television channel and radio talk shows. Even here in Highline and Seattle, where the skies may not be the bluest you've ever seen but our political opinions are, fright-wing radio talk beats progressive talk. Let's face it, ratings for our only local liberal talk radio station suck. KPTK AM 1090 finished 24th among commercial stations in the spring ratings book. Talk-radio ratings, in general, are down so KTTH 770, tied for 16th, and KVI 570, tied for 19th, didn't do much better. But in an area that votes 60 percent Democratic that's pretty pathetic. Emulating public radio, KPTK is conducting a pledge drive. The station isn't seeking cash donations, but instead asking progressives to listen and spread the good word about the station. Consider this my pledge. There are many reasons why liberal radio doesn't do better, but I reject the notion that the on-air talent isn't good enough. With hosts from all over the country providing diverse perspectives, KPTK has the best line-up in Seattle since the boss-jock days of KJR/KOL in the 1960s. Let's look at the line-up: Stephanie Miller-6-9 a.m. She's from L.A. Even if you don't care about politics, you may choose this as your hilarious morning wake-up show. Voice deity Jim Ward does the funniest impressions since local legend Robert O. Smith. Thom Hartmann-9 a.m.-noon. He broadcasts from Portland. His knowledge of our Founding Fathers, his Christian faith and populism add a different twist to the program. He's extremely smart and a prolific author. Thom also converses rationally with his many conservative guests. Ed Schultz-noon-3 p.m. Big Eddie is from the heartland, Fargo, North Dakota. He's an entertaining huntin', fishin', meat-eatin', ex-professional football player and reformed conservative. Listening to his voice you might mistake him for Rush Limbaugh until you realize he's making sense. Rachel Maddow-3-5 p.m. Her base is New York. She's presents a highly intelligent and entertaining show featuring the news of the day. She's got a funny sidekick, too. Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy-5-8 p.m. and 8 p.m.-1 a.m. I don't get to listen to these evening hosts much but they have their rabid rooters. So all I'm asking is for you to listen to KPTK 1090 (www.am1090seattle.com online) and see what you think. If you like it tell your friends. Patronize the advertisers and tell them you heard about them on KPTK. (All good advice for Times/News readers, too) If a format switch is announced, I'm sure liberals will mount a great "Save Progressive Radio" campaign. But it makes more sense to do it before the fact. |
Leonard from Seattle
I pledge to keep listing as much as my conservative boss will let me. Sometimes as much as 10 hours a day when he's gone. I also will continue to support progressive radio advertises. I already purchased ca40, Boca java, 1-800-flowers and even a 600.00 meat order from Allen bros. meat company for a fancy party for my boss. Ha ha. Thom Hartmann Rules!! |
Myra from Shelton
I listen religiously to THE THOM HARTMANN PROGRAM from 9 am to 12 noon each and every weekday, and to other Air America programs whenever I can. I urge everyone I can to listen to Air America radio |
Randy from Edmonds
I already listen to AM1090 every day and pledge to use its advertisers whenver I can. |
Kris from Port Townsend
My husband and I already have AM1090 stickers on our cars. He listens at least 1 hour a day, and I listen at least 3-7 hours a day. We LOVE AM1090, which has replaced NPR in our house, and we support your sponsors (not the junk personal finance ads,but the real businesses in the Seattle area) as much as we can.
|
Mary from Bothell
I listen to am 1090 minimum 6 hours a day & I pass it on to everyone I know. This is the most worthwhile station is Seattle. We need to hear the "Fresh Air" that 1090 gives us. If it weren't here we would not know all the crazy things that Bush and company are doing and would not be able to contact our Congress person to put a stop to it. Thank you for all you do & yes I do listen in the evening and weekend too. Love Randi/ Rachel/Mike and the Young Turks. This a Wonderful service and needs to stay on the air. Mary |
Bob and Rita from Snohomish
We promise to listen to 1090 two to eight hours a day. We will tell any person who is interested in what is happening to our country to listen to you. We have a 1090 car magnet and would be happy to put a sign in our yard if we had one. We try to support your sponsors as often as possible. When we need something we think of your sponsors and those who advertise with you first. Sincerely, Bob and Rita |
Paula from Portland, OR
Still listenin' everyday...Love Steph and Mike Malloy!
|
Candice from Camano Island
To add to my previous pledge...I already listen from 1am until 6am every day while doing my paper route. Then I listen to Ed S. while I travel to my day job and either Mike M or Randi Rhodes on my way home. Like many people these days I need to work two jobs just to survive. Thanks to Bush and his gang of crooks or worse! Somedays it is hard to believe that any "leaders" could be so bad. I really think they are capable of anything and that scares the #$&* out of me. I do not consider myself a fearful person...I believe in "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" At least I did until George Bush came along. Thanks for the voice of reason in the lonng night.
|
Candice from Camano Island
I pledge to listen to am1090 at least 2 hours a day and to tell as many people as I can about 1090 and all of the different programs. I can not express in words how much the information, programing, and truth that I have listened to over this past year and a half has helped us make it through these dark days in our country. Thank-You. |
Cheryl from Des Moines
I always BUY products that are advertised on AM 1090 and recommend these products and services to friends and family. (except the get rich crap). These include (but are not limited to) *The Astro Cafe, *Seattle Laptop, *Organic Wine Company, *Small Dog Electronics, *Washington Water heaters, *bought tickets to AM1090 events, and many others. |
Dennis from Black Diamond
I pledge to listen to am1090 4 to 7 hours a day, as I have been doing for around a year now. 1090 is my life line, the only place I can go to find hope that the freedoms of this wonderful country that I love will not be lost to future generations. Iwill ask as many people as I can to listen to 1090 that they might find hope too. |
Kayomi from Federal Way
I listen everyday, everyone in my car has to as well! |
Chris from Tacoma
I pledge to listen to AM1090 for at least two hours a day at least five days a week and I promise to listen to Mike Malloy and Thom Hartmann whenever they're on.
|
Tim from Arlington
I listen at least five hours a day. Mostly during the late morning and afternoon until about 6:30/7:00 PM. I pledge to support the advertisers who advertise on AM 1090. Keep up the great work. Any possibilities of getting some local talent in the daytime hours? Thank you. |
Sheri from Shelton
I pledge to continue to mention AM1090 to anyone I am having a political discussion with, of any sort. I pledge to continue to proudly display my AM1090 bumper sticker on my car. Often to the dismay of my family, husband and two sons (13 & 14), there is no need for me to "pledge" to listen at least two hours a day, because I am addicted to AM1090, listen to it wherever and whenever I can, and spout adnausium to friends and family about various points I have heard on your station. I don't know what I would have done these past 3+ years without you! You keep me sane and informed. My family does appreciate t he fact that someone has to look out for us and are actually grateful I have a place to get my needs met (being informed & politically active) that still allows me to do other things at the same time (cook, clean, etc.) which I would not be able to do if I were reading all the time. They also appreciate the fact that Stephanie and the mooks make me laugh daily - I could not live without them at this point! Thank you so very much! Sheri Staley Ps. Maybe you could drum up some sponsors down in the south end that I could more frequently support! |
John from Shoreline
I will listen as much as possible.. |
Phil from Kenmore
I listen to the Young Turks, Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes every day. Makes my commute much easier. Love Stephanie and Young Turks the best. |
Scott from Seattle
I am a morning listener to Thom Hartmann. He is my favorite, though I like Ed and others too.
|
Joan from Everett
I've been an AM1090 listener for quite some time now and appreciate the opportunity the station gives me to listen to Progressive Talk Shows. Finally we have a station that gives Progressives a voice. I enjoy listening to the daily hosts when I can but usually catch The Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy shows each weekday afternoon/evening during the week. I also listen to the weekend hosts and enjoy the wide variety. I've also have AM1090 bumper stickers on both my cars and I let my friends and family and anyone else who asks about AM1090. Thank you!
|
Jane from Seattle
I will listen to many more than 2 hours per day, as much of Tom Hartman, Rachael Maddow, Randy Rhodes, and Mike Malloy as I can fit in my schedule. I have also patronized and encouraged others to patronize advertizers including the Astronaut Cafe, Dunn Lumber, Best Paint, and Seattle Laptop.
|
Carolyn from Seattle
I listen to AM1090 from about 10:00AM-12:00 PM, then from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM (gotta watch Olberman then :). I've also been clicking through to the green pages, and then letting the merchants know I found them through the 1090 link |
Sheila from Puyallup
This is easy, in fact my husband would like me to cut down. "Turn down the mooks!", he shouts from his bed in the morning, "take those earbuds out and talk to me" he pleads at night, " why are you listening to the radio while the tv is on mute?" Poor guy, oh well, I am addicted to am1090. I went to see Robert Kennedy Jr., and picked up some 1090 stick pins, wear them on all my jackets, even at work while waiting on customers. I expected problems, but people would come back into the store and ask me where to get one. Cenk on Young Turks is my favorite at the moment, I couldn't have survived my daily commu te without Stephanie and the mooks, and Randi. Pledging is a no brainer. Air America has given me the ray of hope and the courage to believe the country will heal after this current admimistration is gone. |
Steve from Kirkland
AM 1090 is like a breath of fresh air in a tornado of right wing talk stations. |
Pamela from Shelton
I listen online most of the time... your station and Nova M in Phoenix to get Malloy live at 6 PM Our car radio is tuned to AM 1090. I don't care for Ed Schultz... he misses the point too often and sometimes spends days beating a subject to death. |
Joel from Seattle
Like most people, I'm sure, I don't need to pledge to listen two hours a day. I think anyone who listens does it far more than that. There's nothing like it anywhere else, and we need it desperately. (It just occured to me: simpler than a pledge, you might have a campaign just to have anyone who listens simply leave you their name etc., with an assurance you won't use it for anything else, keep it private, etc. And maybe have a button for people who want to be entirely anonymous. It would be a meaningful statistic for advertisers.) I am going to make a real effort to make sure I let businesses know about you, make it a point to try and use them and make sure they know that's how I heard about them and that's why I patronize them, and contact the ones I don't know to let them know I am grateful. I wonder if petitions make sense? For instance, I used to hear Fred Meyers and even QFC advertise sometimes. Maybe a real campaign to contact businesses like that and let them know they;ll get at least a certain amount of customers for their investment. (how about a message board? I use randis's and mike's alot. I think that would be an excellent idea. People would probably volunteer to run it.) Anyway, that's all I can think of now. Thanks for everything! |
David from Lake Forest Park
Seattle's AM 1090 radio is my best source of information on the airwaves. I listen 2 hours a day, and I'm asking for you to support this vital progressive voice by tuning in. I no longer have confidence in public radio to tell me what's REALLY going on in today's world. I especially like Thom Hartmann from 9AM to noon weekdays, Randi Rhodes from 5 to 8PM weekdays, Ring of Fire from noon to 3PM Saturdays, and Democracy Now from 4 to 5PM Saturdays and Sundays. This is essential radio - try it!!
|
Bonnie from Suquamish
I listen to AM 1090 at LEAST two hours a day, in the morning, to and from work and all day on the weekends. I catch as much as I possibly can, and have been listening since AIR AMERICA first began a couple of years ago. I love Thom, Randi, Ed Schultz, Mike Malloy, Bill Press, loved Al when he was on, Lionel, Laura Flanders, the Young Turks, and especially Bobby Kennedy and Mike in Ring of Fire. I apologize if I've left anyone out. I work late and can't catch Stephanie. I am a devoted fan, and if I had 6+ hours a day to listen I'd do that. Also, I always check out your advertisers and go to them first. A lot of my friends and family are devoted to this station, and I am extremely grateful to have you. Thank you! Bonnie Nelson |
Dave from Seattle
I have been listening to am1090 since the start. I catch a little of the Young Turks in the early morning, then on to Stephanie Miller program with great satire and humor, Thom Hartman's program is like taking a college course, Ed Schultz for the lunch bucket issues, Rachel Maddow for a quick 2 hour world and national political news update, Randi Rhodes bring a passionate and accurate political analysis, Mike Malloy ENOUGH! gets a person really fired up, and last but not least Jon Elliot to round out the day. A thousand thank you's to am1090 for bringing the progressive voice to Seattle. I will bring in all the recruits I can.
|
Paul from Issaquah
I listen to more than two hours of am 1090 every weekday
|
Kirk from Bothell
I've been listening for a long time now and will continue. I can't get enough of progressive thinking and talk. May our country turn back to peaceful means to settle our differences with the world. |
Richard from Tacoma
I've been a regular all-day listener at work since October, 2004 and often into the evening. Thom Hartmann is my favorite, but the laughs from Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz's balanced treatment, Rachel and Randi's wit, and Mike Malloy's biting commentary have had me hooked for a while now. |
Bob from Tacoma
I listen to AM 1090 at least 5 hours a day on my job, and I will continue to do so. |
Ron and Marya from Medina
I was draft age during Vietnam. It was clear to me that it was based on provocation and lies, thrived on corrupt purposes perpetuated by lying generals, politics and their corporate sponsors. 50,000 dead us,250,000 wounded, unknown thousands suffering PTSS,2 million Vietnamese slaughtered many indiscrimately by carpet bombing. When it was over I was sure we had learned a lesson never to be repeated or forgotten. How easily mass psychology born of lies and fear makes otherwise prudent people disregard facts and reason. |
Jean from Seattle
am1090Seattle is my broadcast source of news and information, and I credit your programming and supporting advertisers and ownership with sustaining my hope for the future of our country. Jean |
Patricia from Olalla
I will listen to 1090 at least 6 hours every week day.
|
Julie from Bothell
I've been a LOYAL AM 1090 listener since October 2004. AM1090 is like the PAUL REVERE OF THE AIRWAVES. I have never called my Senators or Congressman until I started listening to AM1090. I've been to some townhall forums and I always grab bumper stickers to give to friends and family, and co worker and sometimes I leave bumper stickers on some car windshields, especially when I see a competitor's sticker. LOL!! I am a delivery driver so AM1090 is always on for at least 7 hours and sometimes loud and clear. Infact, AM1090 is permenantly set on my P-1 button! The competitor got bounced down the dial. This station has empowered me to get involved, educate myself and even get my old civic's book out. Empower yourself by educating yourself! Thank you KTPK, after 15 years of no choice but 1 and that was only a couple hours a day til the next host came on. :( and the other choices were all Hate Talk Radio, Thank you!!! Oh I even listen on my day off and I will put the yard sign in my yard!! I live by a school and a busy playfield. So talk on AM1090! I'll be listening.
|
Timothy from Seattle
I will (continue to) listen to at least 5 hours of Air America radio shows most weekdays; in my case, Thom Hartmann without fail, and usually the last two hours of the Stephanie Miller Show. In addition, I will (continue to) listen to sprinklings ofMike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, and other shows as time permits. many thanks.

Listen only to 1090 talk radio (favorites: Stephanie, Thom, and Rachel). Mention station to friends. Support advertisers. (Progressive talk radio is so important!) |
Tina from Spanaway
I pledge to listen to am 1090 from 6-10 hrs M-F, and 3-4 hrs. on week-ends. I also tell everyone that I talk with about 1090. I also have helped my relatives across the country find air america and progressive stations in their areas.
|
Michael from Seattle
I pledge to continue to listen to 1090 and force my carpoolers to listen on our way into Seattle and on the way home as often as possible.
|
Deb from Portland, OR
I have just started streaming AM 1090 since I've found out your air schedule -- and it works out great for me on days when I miss part of Randi during the week or Sam on Sunday on KPOJ. I also appreciate that you have AP radio news instead of ABC. The player works great. So, thanks! And I pledge to tell my friends that they can stream and listen to podcasts on AM1090! |
Rob from Seattle
I pledge to continue to listen to Stephanie Miller & Gang, Thom Hartman, Ed Shultz, Randy Roades, and Mike Malloy during the week. On the weekends I will listen to Ring of Fire with Mike and Bobbie.
|
Ben from Seattle
I'm already listening 3 0r 4 hrs a day at AM 1090. Keep up the good work.
|
Maureen from Seattle

|
Lauren from Renton
I pledge to listen for 2 plus hours a day. I already have gotten 2 people into 1090 and they will spread the word as well. If I could sneak a radio into my work I will have 1090 on all day long!!! |
Shelley from Bow
I do pledge to listen to am1090 at least two hours every day. I already listen faithfully to Stephanie Miller, and Rachel Maddow, and some of Thom Hartmann and Ed Schulz every day, but I will make more effort to listen on the weekend. |
Matthew from Everett
I tell everyone I know that I now listen to 1090am. I have them on my car radio 100% of the time and listen online whenever I can.
|
Sharon from Ferndale
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 3 hours per day weekdays. As a Realtor I am in my car constantly. AM 1090 is the only station that I cannot get enough of. Additionally I will resume telling Whatcom County what a great thing we have in Progressive TalkAM 1090. Sharon Allen |
Karol from Olalla
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 at least 14 hours each week. I also pledge to proudly wear my AM 1090 t-shirt and display my AM 1090 bumper sticker. My favorite show is Rachel Maddow's. My husband's favorites are Thom Hartman and Ed Schultz |
Janet from Seattle
This is easy! I wake-up and turn on Thom Hartmann. Depending on my schedule for the day, I will keep it on 1090, and listen as much as possible all day. My mom does the same thing, and we discuss the programs, and what was really good. I would say Iaverage at least 5 hours per day. I've already gotten lots of friends hooked, but I'll keep spreading the word! |
Tina from Bothell
Listening to AM1090 is an easy pledge to make. I listen to Stephanie Miller in the morning, she and her guys are great to wake up to and get the mind thinking. Then I enjoy Thom Hartmann, he is certainly one of the most intelligent people I've ever listened to. If I'm home from work I listen to Ed Schultz, he's a spitfire and has awesome guests. I usually work in the pm, but if I'm not I enjoy all of the evening lineup. Each of the radio personalities bring so much to the air to know and think about. I gave up on TV several months ago, since there was nothing that was important any longer. The news media has been bought out by the corporate world that owes allegiance to Bush, his cronies and all the right wing politicians. The news media does not report anything these people want us to know. I thank Air America and the local affiliate am1090 everyday that lets me hear real news, real history and allows me to listen to honest, truthful guests that have so much to say that no one else will air. Thank you! |
Joe from Edmonds
I pledge to listen more to AM 1090. I already listen during my drives. I will listen more at home. I tell people I talk with about Air America and what station it is. I will make more of an effort to get more poeple to listen to AM 1090. Thanks for being here for us. Joe Elder Peace and Love |
Alexandra from Shoreline
It's easy to make a pledge to listen at least two hours a day, since I would never miss Tom Hartmann. He is easily the best show on the radio. |
Pam from Bellevue
Two hours a day? Try 5 or 6! Start the day with Thom's brilliant historical background and interviewing and cook dinner to Rhandi's equally scintillating. frank and funny five o'clock follow-up. Yes, I'm a junkie, and tell everyone to tune in. Most people don't go to that bandwidth though, so it's still under the radar for the most part.
|
Shannon from Seattle
I tell everyone to listen to AM 1090. No weekday is complete without Stephanie and the Mooks. I turn them on, then listen all day. Everyone should! |
Chris from Seattle
I listen to Stephanie Miller on my commute to work, then stream her at my desk. Depending on what's going on at work I continue to stream throughout the day. Then when I leave the office I listen to Rachel Maddow and Randi Rhodes on my drive home. I've talked up 1090 to all my co-workers who'll listen to me and some who won't. I also have posted on my blog about 1090. (http://emeraldcityguy.wordpress.com/2007/08/02/link-love-for-thursday-13/)
|
M.L. from Poulsbo
I am so grateful for AM1090, even though I get angry every day I listen to it. I try to listen to all 3 hrs of Thom Hartmann, or at least part of his program, every day. I listen to at least one hour of Stephanie Miller in the morning, sometimes two. I usually catch another couple of hours -- Randi, Ed and/or Rachel. (Working from home helps!) |
Fran from Everett
I have been a faithful listener to am1090 since you became progressive radio. I have told anyone who seems accessible that you exist. I have a cling on in my car window & if possible I will get a yard sign. If you count the fact that I listen through my headphones while I fall asleep I think that means I already try to listen to am1090 for 24 hours a day 5 days a week. Sorry I can’t do 7 days but your weekend nights and mornings are not my favorites but I tune back in during the afternoons. My wish is that Sam Seder, Democracy Now, Ring of Fire, The Young Turks were daily shows.
|
Net from Seattle
I listen and will continue to listen. I second William-- No more football broadcasts! |
Dee from Federal Way
A few months ago, I relocated to Washington state after four years away. Shortly after, my daughter told me about AM 1090 because she knows how I grouse and gripe about bobbleheaded "news" idiots who just repeat the administration "talking points" and therefore failing to provide an accurate reporting of the news. I have been hooked ever since. I listen on my way to work - Stephanie Miller. I listen at the end of my work day - Rachel Maddow and Randi Rhoads. And I spend my lunch hour with "Big Ed" Schultz or Thom Hartman. And I listen to podcasts so I don't miss a thing. I love AM 1090.. There would be a vacuum in my life (and political education) if we were to ever lose AM 1090!! |
CJ from Magnolia
Before AM1090, I used to listed to talk on KIRO-AM for maybe an hour or so, before growing weary of the same old stuff. Now all the radios in the house and cars are tuned to AM1090 and we've never gone back. The Young Turks, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Rachael Maddow, Mike Malloy, and Sam Sedar are superb - and very addicting. Three hours a day? Heck, more like ten or eleven. Keep up the great work, AM1090... and you bet I tell everyone I know!
|
Faith from Standwood
I pledge to ALWAYS tell people where I hear the most valuable information, and that is progressive radio. I am constantly telling people to listen and learn from Thom Hartman, and also to listen to Mike Malloy, who I love to hear, when I get the chance. It is great to have a progressive radio station available. Thanks |
Therese from Tacoma
I listen to Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, and Rachel Maddow every Monday thru Friday. I also encourage my friends to listen to AM1090. I don't know how I survived before this station went on the air. I needed to hear my side rather than the usual right wing talkers. |
Sandy from Tacoma
I have been listening to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartman, Rachel, and Ring of Fire for a few years. It is so nice to be able to listen to other people with progressive views. I pledge to continue listening to AM1090. Thank- you and keep up the good work, it is a really important service you provide. |
Rheiza from Marysville
I pledge since last year to listen to AM1090!!! I especially love listening to Thom Hartman, Mama Stephanie,Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Randi Rhodes & the rest of the gang of AM1090. Keep it up guys! Don't rest...Don't tire! Keep speaking the truth & hopefully we ALL will wake up someday. More POWER!
|
Kathy from Bellevue
I currently listen to Stephanie Miller for about one hour, Thom Hartmann easily for 2 hours, Ed Schultz for about an hour, and Rachel Maddow for about an hour. I also patronize the advertisers on 1090 and tell my friends. |
Joseph from Bremerton
I listen all night at work. Also hand out the bumper stickers to my friends, and will be buying halo plugs and the fuel addative from your sponsors. |
Martin from Rainier
I pledge to listen to am 1090 at least 2 hours a day and encourage everybody I know to do the same. Progressive thought can't be stopped!!!!!!!!!
|
Hal from Marysville
I pledge to listen to am 1090 everyday and to continue to tell other people to do the same. |
Marci from Seattle
I listen 1090 AM from 7:00AM until 12:00 noon every week day and off and on in my car during the rest of the day. Also Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings. There is no other station ever on my car radio or at home on 5 seperate radios throughout my home. Went to our (Seattle) town hall when a group of your hosts presented a wonderful evening. Loved seeing them all in person. Full house, standing room only! Please come again. Seattle loves all of you. Marci
|
Chris from Seattle
I have been listening at least 2 hours a day and will continue to do so. I will also continue to tell my friends and new people I meet about AM1090.
|
Pamela from Everett
AM1090 is the only radio station I listen to and I have a 1090 bumper sticker on my car!
|
Audrey from Indianola
Ever since I heard of 1090, I've been a regular listener and have been spreading the good news to my anyone who will listen. I had a 1090 bumper sticker on my car as well until it was stolen - along with my car. Pledging to listen for two plus hoursis no problem. I listen t0 parts of Stephanie, Thom, Ed, Rachel and Randy every day. I'm sure it'ls more like six hours! And I'll keep forwarding your messages. Keep up your valuable work! |
Ann from Seattle
I listen to Stephanie Miller every morning, and often to an hour or two of the Young Turks, and an hour of Thom Hartman. On the weekends I love Ring of Fire, and enjoy Radio Nation and Sedar on Sundays. Usually I have a radio on in every room tuned to AM1090, so I don't miss a thing as I get ready for work or do chores around the house. I change my brother's radio to AM1090 when I housesit. I hand out AM1090 keychains to my cat sitter, friends, and relatives. AM1090 keeps me incredibly informed, and I appreciate the quality and variety of programming. |
Suz from Edmonds
I love my Stephani Miller and her Mooks in the a.m. clean house to Thom, garden with Big Eddie, cook dinner with Rachel, and wind up my day with Randi. I wear an A.M. 1090 proudly on my jeep bumper, and have now got my family and two neighbors listening to this station as well. Thanks for all you do!!!! |
Niles from Granite Falls
Will listen for 2 to 6 hours 3 to 4 days aweek. FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Bush is our worst enemy. |
Charles from Port Orchard
I listen to AM 1090 EVERY day for at least 10 hours, from Stephanie Miller in the morning to Mike Malloy in the evening. Thank you for bringing the truth to the airwaves in the Seattle area! |
Linda from Olympia
I listen at least 5-6 hours a day but would rather have anybody's reruns rather than The Young Turks. It's much better when Wes Clark Jr. fills in but was really awful when there were 2 of them and their stupid risque humor. Christy Harvey today wasa HUGE improvement. I love Stephanie Miller and Mike Malloy and really miss Morning Sedition. Thanks for asking. |
Jared from Shoreline
I pledge to countiue to listen to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Shultz, Rachel Maddow, and sometimes Randi Rhodes. To countiue to tell my friends and to win the watercooler wars. I pledge to visit the sponsors of AM1090 when I need something that they provide and tell others of the companies as they need something. Tag we are all it!!!!
|
Karin from Redmond
This is the easiest pledge I have ever made. Listening to AM 1090 is not only educational and entertaining but is one of the few ways I can feel like I am not completely crazy living in this new world order. |
Aten from Seattle
I love your radio station. I dont always agree and frankly a couple of the hosts annoy me but I never miss The Young Turks, Stephanie Miller and Mike Malloy. They are absolutely the very best! Thank you so much. |
Dan from West Seattle
Another NPR refugee seeking truly progressively biased media, and pledging to listen at least two hours in the morning and two at night. 1090 has become my domestic partner. |
Maureen from Natick, MA
Hi - I'm offering a small pledge (I'm a Democrat and a woman - so you know I'm broke!) I want very much to keep progressive talk on the air. We have enough hateful, divisive conservative talk already. The voices of the progressives aren't being heard. And since we lost our progressive talk station in Boston last December, it's important we keep it in the places it still exists. The conservatives are working very hard to silence our voices, but we will be heard. Keep up the good work! |
Bill from Seattle
For an old lefty like myself, who has preached the cause of freedom, justice and equality for 30 years, It does my heart and soul good to hear the voices of today finally speak up. Having 1090AM is like restoring the hearing that I'm gradually losing. Of course, I support progressive talk. |
MJ from Enumclaw
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 and telling at least three people to listen to AM 1090. |
Robin from Shelton
I drive as part of my job. When I'm in range of AM 1090, I listen to Big Ed, Stephanie Miller and Rachel Maddow, 2-4 hours a day. Nothing completes my day like hearing Kent Jones take on how to say "Monkey"! |
Steve from Renton
I pledge to adhere to truth, justice and the American way by listening to AM1090 everyday for at least 3 hours per day. I can't get enough of Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartman, Big Ed, Randi Rhodes, Rachel Maddow, Mike Malloy and all the rest of the Patriots who spread the good vibes about getting our country back from the hands of dictators. They make us feel that all is not lost while our country is being destroyed by that smirking chimp in the white house - who by the way is afraid of horses - bet you didn't know that. I will continue to tell "sleepers" who are totally unaware of AM1090 just as I have done in the p ast. Truth and Democracy Rule!!! One more thing... I will continue to do business with those companies that advertise on AM1090. |
Brad from Lynnwood
i pledge to listen to AM1090 at least 2 hours a day |
Robyn from Issaquah
I admit, I am hooked on AM1090, and I pledge this is a habit I don't intend to break. This is one of the only ways to get the real news and I tell that to all my friends. I also have a 1090 bumpersticker on my car and would post a yard sign (but I can't). I live on the plateau. Enough said. |
Dave from NE Tacoma
Thanks to Air America. You're one of the big reasons we've started to take our government back from the Bush crime family. I've mostly stopped listening to NPR. |
William from Seattle
I do now, and will continue to listen to AM1090 as much as I am able. I usually listen at least eight hours per day! However this time is drastically reduced when you do the inane Cougar broadcasting!!! I do have a MAJOR PROBLEM WITH AM1090! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STOP YOUR COUGAR BROADCASTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is already more than enough sports broadcasting on radio and television. When you do your Cougar broadcasting I simply turn my radio to another station! You state that one can continue listening to Air America via one's computer. PLEASE NOTE: MOST OF US DO NOT HAVE A PC IN EVERY ROOM OF OUR HOMES, AND ARE NOT ABLE TO STAY WITHIN HEARING RANGE OF OUR PC!!! Thus, you prohibit my ability to listen to Air America when you do your mundane Cougar sports broadcasting!!! Not only do you broadcast the ridiculous games, you broadcast hours upon hours of moronic talk about sports!!! STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Thomas from Federal Way
I pledge to listen as much as I can to Stephanie Miller for her humor, Thom Hartman for his understanding of the economic consequences of the conservative agenda since Reagan, for Ed Schultz and his appeal to the "common man" and his ability to "plain speak" today's issues, to Rachel Maddow because of her combined wit and incisive intelligence and to Randi Rhodes because of the righteous anger she brings to motivate all of us.
|
Gene from Lynnwood
I pledge to listen to to AM1090 for 4 hours a day. |
Steve from Olympia
I have and I will continue to listen to AM1090 at least two hours a day; you bet! AND, I will continue to tell others to give a listen as well! Thanks AM1090. |
Tim from Seattle
Two hours each day... Rachel Maddow, baby. |
Craig from Shoreline
Screw the Right Wing! I pledge to tell everyone I meet what a great radio station AM 1090 is! Power to the People! I have a 1090 window cling in my back window of my car and a Vote for AM 1090 yard sign in my yard. Take Back America, Stop the WAR! Impearch Bush! http://blog.cspanjunkie.org/ |
Margie from Edmonds
I pledge to listen to 1090 for atleast 2 hours each day and to spread the word to all of my friends about the wonderful programming and hosts you have. I also pledge to continue to patronize as many of the sponsors of 1090 that I can!! |
Fran from Tacoma
Hi everyone I heard about this wonderful station from a talk show host, Erin Hart, let go by the station I listened to before. I email her and complained that there was no station left in this area worth listening to and she answered with your station I have been a faithful listener ever since and was so pleased that you brought Mike Malloy back to this area along with the others. Just keep up the great coverage of the news not faux news that is on other stations. Your faithful listener Fran. |
Tim from Bothell
I've listened from the start and still listen everyday. Not much on weekends lately, however. I've told everybody who'll listen to me at least once already. Even Bush voters I know. |
Marianne from Seattle
Rachel Madow and Thom Hartman have my attention, it is an easy pledge. I have been telling my friends about them for a long time now. |
Cat from Kenmore
I pledge that I will listen to MORE than 2 hours per day, I usually listen to at least some of the following shows every day: The Young Turks, Stephenie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Mike Malloy, John Elliot, sometimes Randi Rhodes and Ed Schultz if I am around. I also LOVE Ring of Fire, Laura Flanders, Sam Seder and would listen to replays of these hosts on the weekends if you wanted to air them. I have AM 1090 tuned to most of my radios at home and in the car. I have been listening to AM 1090 since day one and was waiting by the radio when it swiched over at midnight from country western to the wonderful station it is now. |
David from Seattle
$15.00 / month -- It's time for people to do more than just protest and go home. |
Annette from Shoreline
I can't get enough AM1090! I've been listening ever since it started and it has saved my sanity in this crazy political world we live in. I laugh in the morning with Stephanie Miller, learn from Thom Hartmann and feel the power with Randi Rhodes. Onthe weekends I clean the house while listening to Ring of Fire, the most informative show on the air waves. And good old Sam Seder, my time running errands on Sunday is now that much better. I tell all my friends to listen. And they do! |
David from Eatonville
While your signal isn't very strong out here in the foothills of Mt. Rainier, you have the best message going! I keep your bumper sticker clean an neat on my truck :-) |
Sandy from Everett
I don't have to pledge, I already do. I listen to am1090 every day, over two hours a day. I have a bumper sticker on my car and have given a few of my friends bumper stickers. If they are open to it, I will write down "am1090" on a piece of paper along with the web address and hand it to them and tell them to check it out if they really want the truth. I have purchased tickets to at least three events that am1090 hosted at the Town Hall in Seattle and then I invited someone new to go with me each time. I will be moving to rural Missouri (total Red country) in the next month and I really hope that I will be able to get the l ive stream where I will be at, if not, I will go insane! Bye Washington :-( I will help to turn MO back to blue, I promise! |
Don from SeaTac
I love 1090 and listen whenever possible 8-10 hours/day. |
Lori from Bellevue
I listen to the Young Turks and Stephanie Miller in the morning on the way to work and to Rachel Maddow on the way home. You go AirAmerica! |
Larry from Canton, Ohio
I pledge to listen to AM1090 for 2 hours a day on the internets. |
James from Lynnwood
Easiest pledge ever!! If you asked me to LIMIT my listening to two hours a day, I would never do it! I listen for SIX hours a day. Every week day and sometimes on Saturday. And I buy the products, Asteroid, Spuds, Seattle Laptop, Sacred Grounds Coffee, Not A Number Gifts! GA40. I might even take out my own ad, if that's what it takes!! It's THAT good! |
Erin from Olympia
I listen to Steph in the morning, she has really grown on me. I then listen to Thom Hartman's excellent show. Later I tune in to Randi, and then my favorite, Mike Malloy. I will continue to do so, thanks!! |
Ken from Federal Way
I will listen all day at work, and tell everyone about am1090. I will display my am1090 bumper stickers. Furthermore, and perhaps more important, I will continue to purchase from the sponsors. |
Charlie from Oak Harbor
Ever since I almost went off the road listening to "You're a Lying Sack of Crap" on the Stephanie Miller show, I have been a fan. I tell almost anyone who has a modicum of common sense about the shows and I pledge to tell more. It has replaced KIRO as my number one present on all my radios. Sometimes I do listen to Dave Ross, but as soon as I hear the whiny voice of Dori Monson on a promo or commercial I am on Hartman's doorstep. |
Diane from Tulalip
I listen every day at least 3 hrs and I have purchased many items just from the ads that I hear on this station. |
Jim & Janie from Bellevue
Janie and I are already well beyond two hours. We awaken and are amused with Stephanie Miller, educated by Thom Hartman, cajoled by Ed Schultz, and finally end the listening day amused once again by Rachel Maddow! Unfortunately, we don't get to hearRandi much anymore! Keep up the great programming! |
Ginny from Bothell
I will continue to listen to 1090 am, Air America for at least 2 hours daily. Favorites are Stephanie Miller who points the wrong doing and wrong thinking of Neocons and hypocrites in a funny way, Thom Hartman for educating me and getting me to think and Randi Rhodes for driving the lessons home and getting me to act. |
Alan from Mukilteo
I am retired and have 1090 on at least 8 hours a day plus. |
Dennis from Silverdale
I pledge to continue listening to AM1090 for six hours every weekday. |
Marty from Seattle
I will listen everyday at 0500 am to 0600 am on my way to work, and from 1500 (3pm) to 1700 (5pm) right after work Everyday!! AM1090 RAWKS!! -Marty |
Erenn from Bremerton
I currently listen from 9-5 a day. I listen to am1090 program information and interviews. I do more research and contact my congressional delegation and ask them to support specific goals. I patronize am1090 sponsors. |
Florence from Rainier
I pledge to listen to Thom Hartmann every day and to listen to Ed Shultz & Rachel Maddow most days. I pledge to listen to Ring of Fire, 7 Days in America, Clout, Radio Nation, Seder on Sunday and Newsweek on Air either live or online. I pledge to listen to Mike Malloy and Jon Elliot online when I can.
|
Anta from Houma, LA
I will listen two hours per day.
|
Nathan from Federal Way
I will do my best to at least listen once a day and pass the info on to my friends. |
Bruce from Bellevue
I will continue to listen for at least 2hours a day! |
Melani from Tacoma
I pledge to listen to AM1090 as often as possible and pester everyone I know to listen as well. I am so grateful to have this news source and I am a passionate listener! GO Tom Hartman, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes! |
Carol from Lakewood
I love to listen to Thom Hartman, Randi Rhodes, Stephanie Miller, Thanks alot for bringing us such great information. I love it! |
Jimi from Olympia
I listen to 1090am from 7am until 7pm or later daily. I will tell as many people as possible to do the same if they want to know what is really happening to their country. I pledge to get a 1090am bumper-sticker to inform even more Americans of Air America! |
Stephen from Fircrest
You asked for a pledge of two hours of listening. For me that is easy, since I wake up to stephanie, then thom, get going with big eddie, try to listen to most of rachel, catch some of randi. So far I have passed on information about AM1090 to anyone who would listen including persons in california, witch would on the internet. Have a good day. |
Jack from Livingston, MT
I listen to your stream on i tunes after having problems with the air america stream and because you carry all my favorite hosts, including ones no longer on air america, i listen all day and enjoy the programs! KEEP IT UP! Jack |
Vicki from Woodinville
I pledge to listen at least two hours per day - usually much more. Additionally, I have a bumper sticker on my car! Great work - you are saving our country. |
Carol from Seattle
I will listen to KPTK for over 6 hrs during the weekdays. I will also encourage others to listen also. My only concern is some of your Talk show hosts are to acerbic for my taste or down right silly. Please consider the context of you talk show people. |
Harlan from Kenmore
I listen to AM1090 at least two hours a day. Whenever I'm in my car the radio is on AM1090, and I often stream the webcast on my computer. |
Christine from Port Orchard
I LOVE TO LISTEN AND ALWAYS TELL FRIENDS TO CHECK IT OUT, ESPECIALLY THOM HARTMAN. |
David from Seattle
You want me to listen just two hours a day? Just two hours? Heck, with Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz and the mighty Randi Rhodes it's hard not listen at least two or three times that long. I love your station. Keep up the good work. |
Anna from Tacoma
I listen to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz (love the big red head), Rachel Madow and Randy Rhodes every day as I work. |
Peggy from Tampa, FL
As a former resident of Seattle, I listened live to am1090 everyday. Family concerns brought me to Tampa - temporarily! I still listen to the podcast of Stephanie Miller every day along with other programs throughout the day. I pledge to listen to am1090 daily as I have for the past two years and pledge to continue my recruiting efforts to have other BLUE friends listen as well; so far I know I have three other friends committed to listening on a daily basis (again podcast). My two am1090 bumper stickers proudly remain on both my cars here.... |
Jeff from Auburn
Steph, Thom, Mike, and especially Rachel: I'm there for you! |
Carol from Lakewood
I love to listen to Thom Hartman, Randi Rhodes, and Stephanie Miller. Thanks a lot for bringing us such great information. I love it! |
Brian from Gig Harbor
I listen to the Rachel Maddow show just about everyday. I'm also a huge fan of Thom Hartman and Randi Rhodes. |
LawDyke from Tacoma
I listen forty hours or more a week. You are my voice of sanity in a whacko world. I rearrange my workday so I can attend Thom Hartmann's chatroom during his show, as it easily doubles the listening enjoyment to make commentary with other progressives while listening to the show. You should create an AM1090 chatroom so we could have the same fun during ALL your programming. I love Stephanie, Thom, Rachel and Mike... Ed is coming around, but still too moderate in my opinion to get your midday spot and force us all during our workday to listen. Randi is fairly annoying most days as well. Why don't you get someone not so negative during dinnertime? We often want to listen then, but she' s screaming and it makes it hard to swallow. We will continue to listen constantly and tell our friends, and we hope you consider progressive programming on the weekends, too... we wait until monday for updates because there is little news out there... Thanks! |
Jackie from Everett
I already listen well over two hours a day on average, and frequently recoment to others to do the same. Keep up the good work! |
Kathy from Tacoma
I currently listen for at least 4 hours a day. I'll definately look for ways to tell more people about am 1090. You keep me just a bit more sane, and for that I am very grateful. |
Michael from Seattle
I always have am 1090 on in my car, so I will listen at home as well. I will try to listen for 2 hours or more a day! |
Roberta from Pacific
I enjoy listening to Randi Rhodes on my way home from work! But I don't get very good reception in Sumner. |
Gail from Tacoma
I do listen to AM1090 every morning. I love starting off my day with Stephannie Miller.I must look crazy driving down the street laughing my ass off.Thom Hartman keeps me very informed during the day. |
Paul from Seattle
I love AM 1090 as it keeps me sane with a dolt for a president. He has single-handedly destroyed the USA's reputation abroad and brought us to the same level as the terrorists that aim to hurt us. Oh for the good old days when the budget was in balance and all we were worried about was a little white stain on a little blue dress!
|
Susan from Clinton
Never miss the local gardening show on Saturday mornings or Rachel Maddow during the afternoons and drift off to a Mike Malloy rant at night. |
Diane from Renton
I pledge to listen to AM1090 every week day, (with some breaks for life!), starting at 7:00 am with Stephanie, through Thom and Ed, and ending with Rachel at 5:00. I also pledge to listen to Scott Connor on Saturday whenever I can.
|
HC from Seattle
I am already listening for over two hours and have already told more than three people. That was easy! Spread the word, spread the truth, spread common sense. |
Jim from Endwell, NY
You have it..... |
Richard from Narragansett, RI
I pledge to listen to www.am1090seattle.com at work every weekday for over 6 hours! From 9AM (EST) to 5 PM (EST). There is a person on either side of me that hear the feed as well and they love it! There is no progressive talk in my area (RI and southeastern MA), and your stream is of a consistent volume and recently has been revamped and that is greatly appreciated! I take note of your advertisers as well and have steered business towards them! Thanks! |
Bob from Silverdale
All of my radios, at home, in the cars, trucks and aircraft are tuned to AM 1090 Seattle and being listened to at every opportunity, every day. This averages more like 12 hours plus than two hours. Thank you for your message and hard work. Thom Hartman is my favorite, but I really appreciate all your programming. |
Lydia from Federal Way
I pledge to listen to KPTK AM1090 at least 2 hours a day. I'll even listen to Ed Schultz if I have to. I refuse to listen to Randi Rhodes though!! I advertise AM1090 with a car window sticker and I tell everyone I know to listen if they want to knowthe truth. Thanks for all the great information. |
David from Seattle
The morning get-ready-for-work routine is only bearable because of Stephanie Miller, while Randi makes the evening commute entertaining and educational. |
Harvey from Olympia
I listen to you guys from Stephanie Miller to Randy Roads. I just tune in to listen to interviews the major news outlets pan. Yah know like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosie. NPR don't cut it anymore since that bunch of Troglidites been in power for the last eight years. I propose that a Trustbuster break up some of these newspaper, Television, and internet trusts. It is time to reregulate this country. Harvey |
James from Federal Way
Almost each day, I turn to AM 1090 to listen to the Thom Hartmann program. Sometimes I tape parts of the program so i can share with others or use it for a discussion. I have my 1090 sticker on my vehicle and would love to have some yard signs. |
Phillip from Olympia
Daily I listen to Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes. If I'm in the shop during the day I try to listen to Thom Hartmann. Your station has enlighten me greatly. I now am much more active in politics and am giving as much as I can to the candidates that I believe in all over the country! I have never done this before! It feels great to be involved. Thank you and keep up the GOOD work!!!! Phil |
Jeff from Kenmore
I pledge to actively listen to AM1090 at least 2 hours each day (I have my radio tuned to am1090 24/7). I also pledge to discuss with at least 2 people each day the issues I've listened to on 1090. |
Terry from Sammamish
I'm in my car almost every day for 2-3hrs. And that's when i listen to 1090. Almost always Thom Hartman; sometimes going into Ed Schultz; sometimes i catch programs later in the day if i have some afternoon errands to do. I'd love to listen inside but the only radio i have is on my cable and i'm pretty sure there's no AM1090 there. I might try to branch out on your website, that's just not a habit i've acquired yet.OK! |
Joseph from Olympia
I will listen to Thom and Ed and keep up the good work. |
Karl from Olympia
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 at least three hours each day (I already listen to them around 11 hours per day throughout the day), and to ask at least three friends to do the same. |
Kristina from Federal Way
I pledge to listen to am 1090 and to tell my friends. |
Caroline from Ferndale
I easily listen for 2 hours a day. I love listening to Stephanie Miller and her crew in the mornings while getting ready for work. While the news is typically depressing, Stephanie's show adds a humorous twist that makes me laugh. I listen to Ed Schultz during my lunch, and Randy Rhodes after work until your station fades out. Then I power on the computer and listen online. Mike Malloy cracks me up with his candid remarks (obviously there is still some freedom of speech. LOL). On the weekends I enjoy listening to Scott Conner (Gardening in the Northwest) and the Ring of Fire. The only thing I don't enjoy listening to is your sports cast. (I just can't stand listening to sports!!!) I converted my boyfriend to AM 1090 quite some time ago. Since his job requires a lot of driving, he gets to listen on his truck radio most of the day. We often talk about subjects discussed on the shows. I also display two AM 1090 bumper stickers in my car windows. Last week while pumping gas, a older man on the other side of the pump island saw the AM 1090 bumper sitckers and we started talking about how much we love your station. It was encouraging to me to get positive comments on progressive talk radio, and especially from someone in their 60's-70's. My pledge is to do a better job of promoting your station. |
Elisa from Seattle
My pledge is to listen for 2-4 hours a day. |
Bill and Kris from Tacoma
This is an easy pledge to make. We start with Steph Miller and than on to Thom Hartmann - Ed Schlutz and Rachel Maddow before dinner and Keith Obermannn...This is our news and ....I admit it...a whole lot of entertainment. We just got back from a week in Tanasket (and beautiful downtown Cheesaw) and no 1090!!!! We listened to no news while there and there were no newspapers where we were. We had no idea what was going on...we had no desire to listen the right wing wackos in Eastern Washington or the corporate boobs on the networks. I tell my friends and anyone to listen to 1090 and many have made the change I am happy to say. AND ...p.s. I drove from Tacoma to Anacortes to buy my new lawn mower from Sebos Hardware! (but Action Man wasn't there....sob!) You need more advertisers in Tacoma!!! |
Jay from Everett
AM1090 has a fantastic line-up of hosts. I usually listen to parts of Stephanie, Thom, Edd, Rachel and Randi every day, and sometimes Mike. I will continue to do so and will urge others to do so as well. We all need to contact our Representatives and Senators and urge them to get some back bone. The Bush crime family must be stopped. |
Brian from Bremerton
My wife and I listen to Stepanie Miller on the way to work every day. On the way home we catch Rachel Maddow and sometimes Randi Rhodes. When I can I listen to Tom Hartman and Ed Schultz. Sometimes at night I like to catch what Mike Malloy is up to. I have AM 1090 bumper stickers on all three of my vehicles. I tell all my friends to listen in and we hash over some of the stories and latest news on the station. Your team does a great job and provides a necessary public service. We will continue to support you and try to listen as much as we can. Thank You. Brian and Marie Grad. |
Suellen from Tacoma
I love your station. There is so much intelligent commentary and a good dose of humor. A fantastic combination. I have a hand-work job. I now listen and will continue to listen 6-8 hours of informative, stimulating, though-provoking programing presented by AM1090. Thank you so much. Suellen |
Shirley from Mount Vernon
Not only do I already listen for 2 hours a day, when I volunteer at Dem Hq's in Skagit County AM 1090 is on for all or most of my 6 hrs! We have the 1090 logo in 3 of the 4 windows. Keep up the good work.....all of you. Thanks, Shirley
|
Roger from Shelton
I do and will continue to listen when I am in my auto going to and from work and while running errands around town. I also listen in the AM at home. I get my 2 hours plus. Great station. |
Larry from Vashon
I pledge to listen to The Young Turks, Stephenie Miller, Tom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, and Randi Rhodes or some combination that adds up to at least eight hours daily four days a week; and, Sam Seeder on Sunday, Democracy Now when possible, and Mike Elliot when I have the night shift. On weekdays, I usually strap on my Walkman when I get up at 3:30 am PDT to walk the dog and don't take it off until around 7:00 pm PDT when I get home from work. |
Suzann from Bellingham
I listen every single day for hours and plan to keep on. I am always telling my friends and co-workers about what I hear and give out 1090 directions. suzann |
Fred from Kent
I continue to listen to Stephanie, Thom, Ed Schultz, and Randi Rhodes as listening opportunities arise. My listening time to them is typically two hours per day during the week; to and from my volunteer school work, to and from soccer games on Weds, and when I'm working around home some mornings. I'm retired and I was a district chairman (32nd) for the Republicans untill I became sufficiently aware of what that party does. I rejected a chance to talk in a small group setting to President Reagan. I didn't trust him nor myself. I knew I could be influenced by the dark side of a smiling face. I pass the word to others about 1090 when the time is right. |
Robert from Phoenix, AZ
Since I live in Phoenix, AZ, I listen to Nova M. Radio, 1480 am on the dial. However, I have added AM1090 to my internet favorites, and will listen live whenever Nova M. has a program on I'm not interested in. All Progressives should EXCULSIVELY usethe services or products of advertisers on Progressive radio. Whenever possible, I do.
|
Connie from Tacoma
I can easily "pledge" to listen to the station 2 hours a day, because I already do!
|
Roger from Houston, TX
Hello from Houston, Texas. I'm so glad I found your radio station. Here in Houston we have NO Progressive Talk radio! We have FOUR right wing talk stations. Can you believe that! FOUR! In addition, there are four Sports talk stations. It's incredible. When I come home in the evening I am able to listen to Randi Rhodes on your station on the Internet (due to the time difference). So, I'll be listening. Thanks so much. Roger, Texas |
Andy from Seattle
I already listen to more than 2hours a day(Love The Thom Hartmann Show!!)In addition I will find 3 friends to do the same! |
Mark from Woodinville
I pledge to listen at least two hours a day and to tell three friends about AM 1090. |
C from Olympia
I listen to 1090 98 percent of the time that I listen to radio. I only listen to other stations if I feel like hearing some music. I need the connection with truth that I can only get from progressive talk radio. I love Stephanie, Thom, Rachel, Mike Malloy, and the Ring of Fire hosts, who are all extremely thoughtful and well-informed, but I listen to everyone. You're with me in the morning, in the evening, and when I go walk my dogs. Thanks for great programming and your commitment to truth, justice and the American Way. |
A from Bellingham
Average AM 1090 listening time per weekday: 6 hours. I pledge to support, whenever possible, the commercial sponsors of AM 1090. Keep up the great work!
|
Jayne from Seattle
I listen AT LEAST two hours a day and I have your bumpersticker on my car! |
Richard from Mill Creek
In order to hear the truth and to promote progressive legislation, I promise to listen to AM 1090 AT LEAST 2hours per day, every day, and on line when out of town. |
Lisa from Bothell
I listen to Stephanie Miller every morning on my way to work and enjoy starting my day with a laugh. Thom Hartmann is also a favorite, but for his amazing knowledge and informative shows. In the afternoon I listen to Rachel Maddow every chance I get. She is funny AND smart. a great combination. I encourage my family and co-workers to listen and often repeat information or funny stories I heard on 1090 frequently. Listening 2 hours is not a hardship! |
Edward from Redmond
I proudly, and passionately, pledge to listen to AM 1090 for at least 2 hours a day: I would listen 24 hours a day if Randi Rhodes and Stephanie Miller co-hosted a program. I have the AM 1090 bumper sticker on my car; I have the AM 1090 key-chain on my key-ring; I have my AM 1090 XL T-Shirt that I'm too fat to wear(will donate to a slightly more diminutive leftist. I have have sent emails to 12 of my Seattle pals and asked them to also pledge to listen to AM 1090 for at least 2 hours a day. I would chew on a barbed-wire fence if it would garuantee that Jeffersonian Democracy would be returned to this country. But, listening to AM 1090 is far more enjoyable. I'm the kind of Seattleite who remembers November 9, 2006, not only as the birth-date of his first child, but also as the day that Donald Rumsfeld's resignation was announced. I know that was a hopeful omen for this child's future. Best Wishes, Edward Gaidrich no kings press P.S.- Kick the B*@$!#ds out in '08, and don't let any new ones in. |
Gail from Fox Island
We listen to AM1090 almost exclusively, it's on the car radio, at the office, and at home. We particularly appreciate Thom Hartman, Randi Rhodes, and Mike Malloy. The only complaints we have is the interruption of the political talk format by WSU football and the weekend format. We recommend AM1090 to friends and family on a regular basis, and make a habit to patronize its advertisers. |
Cynthia from Burien
I pledge to listen to AM 1090 for at least 2 hours a day (an easy pledge to make - I already do for more than 1 hour). I LOVE Thom Hartman, Stephanie Miller, Mike Malone, and Ed Schultz (all for different reasons). I am so glad we have progressive, SANE radio available in Seattle! |
David from Mercer Island
This is the easiest pledge I can make because I listen to 1090 anyway soooooooooo, I pledge to listen to AM1090 often and on a regular basis. David |
Filthy Mcgreedy from Shoreline
Of course we listen. Nick-Star and I listen at least 2 hours a day, especially to Stephanie Miller (Mama and the Mooks), Rachel Maddow and Randi Rhodes. We have bumper stickers and the Vote for AM 1090 yard sign in our window. We pledge to tell EVERYONE to listen to AM1090, whether they want to, or not. |
Doug from Maple Valley
My radio comes on somewhere between 6:30 or 7 am. It is tuned to 1090AM and I will generally have it on until dinner, about 6:00 pm. So, 10-11+ hours is a typical day for my listening routine. Hope that helps! Doug S. PS - I'm retired and work out of a studio upstairs so I'm home all day to enjoy your shows/DJs. |
Robin from Camano Island
I already listen to KPTK practically 24/7. The radio is always on at home on KPTK. It's on in the car wherever I drive. I tell friends and family about it. My pledge to KPTK is to continue to do so... My personal favorites are Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, and Thom Hartmann during the week and Sam Seder, Ring of Fire, and Wild America on the weekends. And Scottie too.
|
James from Burien
Both my wife and I listen to "at least" two hours of 1090 a day, usually more. Keep up the good work, Thanks, Jim Scancella DWGWB |
Holly from Lynnwood
I wake up to Stephanie Chris and Jim, Love Thom and Rachel Maddow... Randi is the Goddess of all political knowledge!!!and I go to bed listening to Mike Malloy fighting the good fight. Weekends it is Ring of Fire, Mark and Arianna, Amy Goodman and the Young Turks!!! Keep up the great line-up. I am tuned in all day on the radio or the net! |
Kathy from Tacoma
Oh! I forgot. I always tell people to listen to AM1090. I just wish my friends would take the time to listen like I do...
|
Diane from Tulalip
I purchase every product that I can use from the advertisement that I hear on 1090. I go out of my way to purchase these items. I also just purchase them when I hear them advertised. I am an avid listener when I can. All my radios are set to 1090.
|
Karen from Federal Way
I listen to AM1090 all day and night, literally. During the week I leave AM1090 on when I go to sleep and I wake occasionally to catch fragments of broadcasting all throughout the night. I usually wake up to The Young Turks and go to bed with Mike Malloy. I have AM1090 on all day long when I am home during the week. It's the only radio station I listen to because it is the only radio or television source of reliable news and information. News is covered on AM1090 that I will never see broadcast on TV newscasts, local or national. Because I have AM1090 I don't have to spend all day on the net trying to find the truth about anything. |
Craig from Marysville
I pledge to listen to at least two hours of Thom Hartmann every week day. He is the most informed and balanced talk show host I have ever heard. |
Tim from Arlington
I listen in my car for at least five to six hours each day. I am in sales and do a lot of driving. Love your station. The only problem I have is I can't listen in the early morning while I take my daughter to school. The host of the morning show is too "open minded" for a young person. Hey, it's her show and she can do what she wants, I have a knob on my radio and I can do what I want. Right? Keep up the great work... |
Tom from Kirkland
Ahem, the problem is not to listen for at least two hours a day. Done! AM1090 is as necessary as air or water for me! My only issue is to break away long enough that I can get my work done... the work I'm paid for, that is! My work as a citizen is vitally informed by AM1090... and I know where to shop!
|
Kevin from Tacoma
I listen to 1090 everyday. I LOVE Thom Hartmann! I listen to all or parts of many shows throughout the day. They only thing that I would say that YOU at am1090 can do for all of US (your loyal listeners) is to promote yourselves through bus billboards, regular billboards, your other radio stations, and any other means necessary. There is NO reason that am1090 KPTK could not have the audience that KPOJ in Portland has. If YOU want OUR Pledge, then YOU (am1090 KPTK) need to make a Pledge to all of US that You will do what it takes to push UP the ratings for this station. You do it for Jack-FM and your other stations, why not for am1090 KPTK? I wonder if you will post this? hm. Thank you, Kevin
|
Glenn from Jamul, CA
Count me on listening (over the net) for between 3-5 hours per day, every day. Progressive radio has actually brought a sane message to those of us that expect more, and participate in our representative democracy. Given the KLSD (San Diego) will most likely be a victim of internal Clear Channel politics, I will turn to my next favorite station! Not without a fight, Glenn p.s. - I am in Seattle all the time. |
Alex from Seattle
I will listen two hours per day and tell three of my friends to do the same. Thank you for going with your progressive format! It is awesome and important. The Stephanie Miller Show is the best thing going. I will fulfill my pledge just listening toher show, but I will listen to other shows as well. |
Janet from Tacoma
I pledge a minimum of three hours on weekdays and two on the weekend.
|
FBI Averse from Ballard
I pledge to CONTINUE to listen to KPTK at least two hours a day (Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes, and Mike Malloy, Ring of Fire and Sam Seder). I pledge to listen MORE when you get rid of that right-wing asshat Clerk Howard on Sundays, the pre-emptive, moronic and fascist-loving sports shows, the waste-of-air "Lionel" and the "why do you suck so hard?", more-than-a-month-old Bill Press reruns on the weekends. Love, f
|
Elizabeth from Seattle
The best 2+ hours i will spend.
|
Diana from Olympia
What can I say? Only that listening for hours to Mike Malloy, Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes, and Sam Seder, has not only made me laugh and nod, but I feel less angry, and more empowered! Thank you thank you, thank you! I tell everyone about 1090...Twobumper stickers and tell anyone and everyone to turn on to progressive radio. |
Richard from Port Orchard
I pledge to listen to AM1090 Progressive Talk Radio a minimum of two hours each day. In addition, I will continue to support candidates for political office who reflect my progressive liberal beliefs, and have the fortitude to fire the strategists and speak their own minds. I am proud to be a member of the "WE" society, and I am thankful for AM1090, and the progressive programming that addresses my deepest concerns. |
Kay from Renton
This is a piece of cake. I already listen to your station all day long and resent grocery stores where my earphones cannot pick up the station. I talk up the station to all my friends and most of them listen on a regular basis. Stephanie Miller gets me going in the morning. Thom Hartmann educates and inspires me. Ed Schultz revs me up with his passion. My favorite of all is Rachel Maddow. I arrange my whole day so I do not have distractions while she and Kent are on the air. And so on into the evening where it becomes harder to listen becuase of family but I do my best. 1090 ROCKS!!!!! |
Holly from Edmonds
I listen from about 06:00 until 18:00 each week day! I listen on the weekends as well. I bought my son's laptop from Seattle Laptop. I encourage all of us to support your advertisers, local and national. Thanks for being here! |
Sammy from Seattle
I support the AM1090 progressive talk radio community. I listen nearly all the time, and share the insights with my friends. KPTK is my 'island of reality' in an otherwise deranged media world. And I buy from local AM1090 advertisers whenever I can. It's a great deal--I get accurate information, great products and services, and it's pain-free. Except for the days I snarf mouthwash out my nose while listening to Stephanie Miller in the morning. |
Lynn from Renton
My husband listens to AM1090 during his commute to work in the morning (7:30 to 8:30) and from work (4:30 to 6:00). We both listen to AM1090 in the early morning (Young Turks) and evening (Mike Malloy and Jon Elliot). I listen to AM1090 all day. Myhusband listens to AM1090 approximately 5 hours a day. I listen to AM1090 approximately 11 hours per day. |
Colette from Everett

With all the great programming, pledging 2 hours a day is a piece of cake! Heck, I burn that up daily on Thom Hartmann, and there's still Rachel Maddow, Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy and Jon Elliot!!! (I'm not a big fan of Ed Schultz, but I'll listen tohim in a pinch) In addition to my 2 hour pledge, I also pledge to devote 1 hour a day reviewing the Young Turks podcast, and pledge to encourage everybody I know to listen to AM1090. |
Keith from Lynden
Piece of cake. I'll listen to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, and Rachel Maddow daily. I do that anyway. |

I will listen 7 hours every day; I will play AM1090 while at work and while at home when working outside - I will listen online if WSU sports are being broadcast. Thanks for the great programming and especially for Mike Malloy and Thom Hartmann. It is really great to have a chance to hear a progressive voice on the radio. We listen around 6 hours everyday anyway. |
